What should a new o2 sensor have run me?
govols74n replied to zack1978's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
Yeah i've been finding it for around 60-90 dollars online. -
I tightened the bolts here and the noise you are referring to stopped....i only heard the noise when traveling at a good speed and hitting a "dip" in the road or something. Good luck. I had this saved in my documents give it a try. Instructions :: Nissan Suspension Popping Noise Fix (It may take a few minutes for the pictures to load) Symptoms: The 1984 to 1985 Nissan 720 pickup, 1986.5 to 1997 Nissan Hardbody (D21) pickup and the 1987 to 1995 Nissan Pathfinder (WD21) all share a very similar front suspension design. In some cases it is possible for under torqued suspension components to move at their contact points which causes a distinct metal popping noise. The noise most often occurs when the suspension is flexing or when the steering wheel is turned. For me, I seem to hear it most while turning when I hit a dip or bump. The lower link to frame mount is the most common source of this noise. This mount has a large metal to metal contact area increasing the chance for noises when under torqued. Tools needed: Torque wrench or large breaker arm, 19 mm socket .. Amount of time 5-10 minutes . . Below is a photo of the typical front suspension setup. The highlighted boxes in yellow show the location of the two bolts which must be checked for proper torque. Each box contains two bolts. There are four bolts total which must be checked. Above is a close-up of one highlighted box. . Above, the arrows point to the two bolts connecting the lower link to the frame. You may or may not need an extension to tighten these depending on the socket used. .

how to work the foglights without headlights
govols74n replied to FUELER's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Why use fog lights w/o headlights? Seems pretty lame especially considering if you hit a bump all lights go off or they all come on......get aftermarket lights and run a toggle switch. -
Check your alternator, had the same problem about 3 months ago....alternater was swamped with water and it got fried.....I replaced it and it works fine. Any auto parts store will test it 4 you for free.

Gain some weight, it will even things out a bit.

You read my mind...lol....been on the phone for a few days tryin to find a good attorney, I'm not into suing the guy that pushed the button, accidents happen but there should have been a working safety latch at least and obviously it didnt work so we'll see. My arm feels a bit more mobile, I can move it but my hand is still numb and it has been a week....guess now when I turn wrenches I won't have to cuss when I skin a knuckle...lol.(oh and the safety latch was an automatic one) Thanks everyone for the generosity.(hope I spelled it right.)

My thoughts exactly....but seriously, just be careful and have fun!

I was at a doi it your self auto craft shop by the way, and the guy just came up to see if I wanted some help and leaned all of his weight on the "lower" button, which is pressure sensitive, so the harder you push the faster it drops, he didnt realize that he hit the button but damn it hurt....i was trapped under the lift for about a minute or two, so they say....i kindof blacked out from the pain and awoke in an ambulance.
-
Well, here goes. Just finished installing uca's, installed JGC rear coils. I had my pathy on a lift and was getting ready to re-index my T-bars (even had them pulled out just had to pop em back in) when this dumb ass hill billy walked over and pushed THE button. Yes, he lowered the lift onto my arm, how he didn't cut my arm off amazes us all. Luckily I got out fast enough that the lift didn't crush my whole body. Anyway now that my rear is lifte just a bit, the pathy is sitting like a funny Japanese muscle car because my friend put it back together in a hurry while I was hardly enjoying my first ambulance ride. As of right now, nothing is broken, how? over 5000 lbs on my elbow....Dunno. Have no feeling in my right hand, (so this is takin 4 ever with 1 hand), I am in a cast and the doc has me on vicadin so I am felling pretty good. Hopefully I will heal so i can finish this easy ass project! so so frustrated....my wife said that the first thing i asked about in the emergency room was "Does the pathy look like it sits a little higher?" and they all yelled at me to stop worrying about my truck......lol

must be, it is kind of like a door lock mechanism on a car, theres a pin type thing it latches around near the bumper, and the "pin" has a plastic sheath over it, hard to describe. -
yeah...good for parts
