  1. I need to replace my rear tail lights because one is cracked. Where can I pick some non-ghetto lights up for cheap? If some one has a set laying around let me know I just need to put it in to get by inspections.

    ebay??

  2. MY QUESTION

Resurface / brake lathe, or dont waste my time and replace with Brembo blank face ($80 per rotor)????

I hate to say it, and I know you already know it, but you got what you paid for...always ALWAYS spend the extra $$ on rotors and pads. While I can't help but say told you get what you put into a lot of things, I admire you being totally honest! :D

Anyhow, even if you COULD resurface those things, I wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole. I'd be more concerned about them flying to bits on the lathe than anything else.

Spend the $$, buy some decent discs.

    My .02.

  3. you think they paid for the shelby then let ford do ALLLLLL those commercials and name drops and all. The only car other then a ford was a late model tahoe and they wrecked it

That's another reason I hated it...get the hell over the fact that people aren't buying your crap (and sometimes Mexican built) cars...no need to make the bad guys in the movie be chasing KITT in an EDGE!!!!

  4. Devout Cummins fans will never buy a Nissan over their pride and joy and that's the bottom line, and I don't think the rest of the American market, who may be interested in a Titan, would ever buy a diesel powered one...given the choice they will always go gasoline.

    My .02.

  5. Hey, it wasn't bad for a low-budget TV movie though. And I loved the new nano-tech in the car... plus they couldn't really have done much better than a Shelby... maybe a SkyLine (a Pathy uber-tank version of KITT would be awesome too :P)

If it was that low-budget they could have REALLY triend to save some $$ and used a last-gen V6 Camaro painted black, cause LS1 Trans Am's are too expensive!

  6. That movie was crap...maybe I'm a fuddy duddy who loved the original too much.

Terrible acting was only ok in the 80's when the original show aired. KITT was way over the top, "Mike" was a loser and the girl wasn't attractive (again, I thought ugly main character girls were only ok in the 80's original series. Mind you, Bonnie was a hawtie from time to time B) )

Then again, remakes usually all take this turn towards stupidity.

Glad I at least saw the finale of American Gladiators and the roid-filled Titan loose everything.

  7. If anyone is interested, we have almost finished our 5 inch lift kit here.

It is a complete kit, front struts, no spacer, rear springs(new not rewound or stretched), lower longer control arms, panhard rod, brake lines, brackets etc.....springs can be done for standard ride or load carrying etc..we also do stainless snorkels too

    http://mypathy.com/gallery2/v/brens+path/

Some pictures of us at play and snorkels in action

5 inches? The only truck in any of those shots that looked like it had anything remotely close to 5 inches of lift was that Range Rover, unless those tires you're running on the green Pathy are 35's or something. There just doesn't look like 5 inches of lifts'-worth of body clearance in any of those photos.

    Nice snorkels, though :aok:

  8. Im right behind ya navy...a good project to do while taking a break from replacing bushings...kinda funny i work at a hardware store as well, i work at Home Depot, in the paint department

BOG BOX KILLER!!! JFWY, I work at a tiny General Merchandise store that's been in business for 50 years (mostly a hardware store with other things like a small contract-unit USPS office, outside decor, BBQ's, sh!t like that) There's only 8 of us who work there, including the owner. But we're sucking recently because of the BLowe's that opened up right down the road and the HD that's another 2 miles away from the BLowe's and the Wally World as well. Not going to be in business too much longer.

Support you local Mom and Pop shop!!

  9. Yup, that's where I stole the idea, it's much easier in the Xterra, but meh, I got it done, and I have a lot of stuff up there!! I love it! (I only wish it looked as neat & tidy as it does in my pic above! lol

Is the plastic relatively strong? Did you drive a bolt through and secure it on the other side of the plastic with a large washer and nut? I've thought about doing the same thing (b/c of the X guys as well :D ) but wasn't sure about the strength of the plastic. But you've wheeled the hell out of yours haven't you?

  10. My Favorite Recipe Currently:

I never have time to cook at home because, well, I run a restaurant (with a hotel attached lol), go figure...

This is my favorite crock pot recipe, throw it all in and let the machine do it's magic.

2lbs Of Beef Shoulder or Chuck, you could use a sirloin as well, but I prefer a little fat in my beef when slow cooked.

1/2 cup of Horseradish (prepared/xtra hot!!)

    2Tblsp Johnny's Seasoning(Xtra MSG!!)

1Tblsp Black Pepper (The courser the grind the better)

    1/2 cup Garlic Cloves (Whole)

1 Whole (large) Yellow/Sweet Onion halved then quartered (or cut into 1/8ths :) )

    1 cup quartered Button Mushrooms

3-4 Average Size Yukon Gold or Red Potatoes quartered

1/2 Bottle of Cheap Cabernet (or let over stuff from the night before/or week old... doesn't matter much).

Throw Everything in the Pot, Let Cook for 8-12 Hours, and enjoy the most tender flavorful beef ever :)

I used to be a prime rib fan, but now this is my favorite way to cook my beef.

    That sounds really good.

  11. Something else I've had a few times recently. It's very easy, tastes great and makes people think it's a lot more difficult to make than it really is. If you like spicy things, particularly seafood, this is for you.

Sweet and Spicy Baked (or grilled) Salmon

1 Nicely sized Atlantic Salmon Fillet (fresh is best of course)

    4 cloves garlic

1 nice sized bunch of Cilantro (a little goes a long way)

1/4 of an apple of your choice...I prefer Pink Lady's b/c they're typically the sweetest

    1 Jalapeno

    1/2 yellow onion

    Salt/Pepper to taste

Enough EVOO to rub the fillets

    Dash of Cumin

Drizzle the EVOO atop the fillets, salt and pepper them to taste. Sprinkle a good pinch of Cumin too. Next, combine all ingredients in a food processor and blend until chopped properly. You're not going for a puree here. The coarser the chop the better.

*NOTE:* As stated earlier, not a lot of cilantro is needed here. I usually break off 4-5 stems and pull off the leaves to use in the recipe. Kind of annoying b/c typically the grocery stores only sell bunches of cilantro that are far too big. It's not expensive though...so if you have some extra tomatoes laying around along with an onion, make some fresh salsa to have with chips  In addition, I will usually remove about half of the seeds in the jalapeno and leave the others before processing...depends on how much spice you like.

Once processed, spoon the mixture atop the fish and spread evenly to the edges. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 mins. (check carefully with a fork to see if it's done) and enjoy! I usually have some sort of big salad with it with as many different colored veggies as I can find. Makes for a very colorful meal. Don't forget to compliment it with a good white...Schmitt-Soehn makes a great one called Zeller Katz Schwartz (a Riesling) that's just sweet enough to have with the meal.

In addition, I've done the same sort of thing with the fish using the leftover salsa I made from the remaining cilantro as well. Makes another completely different meal!

  12. There is a local dealer who's selling a 1996 Nissan Pathfinder with 281k on the odometer. With mileage that high, what should I look out for? Dealer is asking $2495. Thanks.

    T-BELT!!

Rust, hoses and belts cracking, ALL fluids should be done when you take ownership of it, plugs, cap, rotor, etc. etc. I would basically give it a full servicing if I were going to take something from a dealership with mileage like that. I can't even believe a "dealership" is selling something with those miles...around here that would be 100% auction material.

All ready-wearable parts should be, at a minimum, inspected by yourself or a mechanic you trust (not the dealership, their "clean bill of health" doesn't amount to squat)

  13. Best way to improve your R50 is to upgrade it with the WD21.... :hide:

    Sorry I could not resist...

Jesus man, come one...you're always the first person to make that un-original, over-used comment.

Whatever makes you happy, I suppose :aok:
