i would go find a new pathfinder with less or no rust.... then move my stuff over to the new one.
-
i can try but the audio on my cell phone sucks arse. and i need to get my manifold flange leak fixed... it over powers the note from the tail pipe.
-
trees, i dont see any trees... unless you call that 12' tall sagebrush a tree. oh wait (turns 180°) now i see em.. :coffee!:
-
i just put a thrush welded series 2.5" on my '87. no cat 2.5" from the y-pipe flange back. real deep throaty sound. makes you want to cream in your pants. theyre only $32.95 at summit racing. they are almost identical to a flowmaster in appearance and design.

if the CV's are binding then you wont be able to drive in 4wd w/o the wheel jerking like mad. i would say it was something else. or you could back the t-bar back down to a reasonable position and see if it helps.
-
theres usually a vendor on ebay with them, also try the used import engine places. swapping wouldnt be to bad if you had the tranny. diesels are fairly simple engines compared to an EFI gas engine.
-
Its called a nissan turbo diesel engine, they came in the terrano's and in some of the nissan commercial trucks.... google td27i
-
with all the tweakers in washington they will pull you over for what ever legal reason they can find just to run your license and/or to see if you're riding dirty.
-
fine... save your money for headers, bigger exhaust, high flow cat, and some meaty cams...
-
hell i cant hardly drive on dry pavement in 4wd, let alone steer it. if there is any slop in the gears and xfer case you wont go anywhere w/o a little wheel slippage.
-
you better not block my mobsters add request.... or you'll be deleted!!! lol

found out something yesterday that the forest service does not consider a glass pack or similar straight through mufflers to be a spark arresting device. it has to have some sort of baffle system in it. i guess thats the 2nd thing local rangers look for other than alcohol when they stop you.
-
we have plenty of that also, along with the all the meth heads & illegal aliens but i think the pig forgot his fiber 1 or something. im pretty sure the judge will drop it, its kind of petty even for the cops around here.

FYI i got pulled over Wednesday morning for not having mud flaps, then one time wrote me a ticket for not having a tail pipe.... check you local laws before removing crap off your rig. if the tires extend past the fender, you must have mud flaps or splash gaurds installed.

ok explain to me how a bigger plenum increases AIR FLOW? it doesnt, it changes the initial volume in the intake manifold. it does not change how much air the engine takes in during an intake stroke. period. once the air flow is established it doesnt matter how big the hole is the engine is still 3 liters, the cam lift and duration are the same, the ports have not been enlarged, the throttle body hasnt changed, the compression ratio hasnt changed, you havent changed the VE.... NOTHING has changed except you moved the TBI unit a little distance from the manifold. look up the formula for flow through an orifice, increasing the length (ie a TB spacer) decreases the flow at any given pressure.
-
the factory ECU is programmed for a given injector size if you change the injector size you have to change the fuel map in the ECU or else you've just pissed your money away on injectors.
-
youre not changing anything on the engine nor increasing its ability to flow more air, and on that note the nissan TBI injectors will flow more than enough fuel for the VG30 engine
-
i have an oval sticker for ya, it says P.E.T.A People Eating Tasty Animals
-
why in the hell would you increase the injector size? adding a spacing under the TBI does not increase airflow. it adds more plenum space for the fuel to mix with the air. you people need to go to the library and read a book or 2. stop reading all the crap thats posted on the internet.

jack up the front with the rig in 4wd and with the hubs locked if you can turn one wheel and the other side turns in the opposite direction the differential is open, if both wheels want to turn the same way its either welded or has a an LSD or maybe the spider gears are just boogered up. the only othe way is to drop the axle assembly and pull the diff. cover and peek inside.
-
did you get all this from the manufacturers add's or independant studies? if it came from the manufacturer i would say it was a load of crap, along the lines of the Extenze and other pecker enlargement adds, it sounds really great but.... if it sounds too good to be true.....
-
its not pointless, it may not ad HP but it does improve throttle response on the VG30i, i had about 3/4" of xtra hollowed out mixture heaters stacked under mine and it made a noticeable difference in the throtte response. and it may even help with the problem of the vg30i's running lean on one bank and rich on the others.

it will onlt help the idle if the EGR valve is not functioning (ie not seating) it should be closed at idle, the test to see if it is fuctioning is to actuate it manually at idle, if things go to @!*% then its working, if they stay the same its bad.

and for the money you could stuff a small block, nv4500/atlas 4 speed under the hood
-
If you want proven power port & polish the heads and intake, stuff a huge cam in it, open up the exhaust, then tune the ECU for the changes in air/fuel requirements and to get the most out of a bigger cam you really need to increase the compression ratio. and due to design issues you cant shave the head more than a few thousanths on the vg engines without intake issues. so your only option there is to get some dome topped pistons. other than that your not going to make many horsepower without forced induction. all the fancy plug wires, spark plugs and air filters in the world will not gain you horsepower, they will free up HP lost from economy based stock equipment. there is an ongoing debate on the actual gains from an e-fan v.s a mechanical fan.
