  1. Being new to SUV's I'm not familiar with past fads I take it the "rock" look is not a new idea. What's this hammered look? anj pic.? The only thing I can associated with "hammered" is a keg and aluminum
  2. On the interior paint, how about painting it with that faux rock effect? Have the inside enviroment resemble that outside arena. What a kick, I may just check that out.
  3. Haven't dropped it yet. Trying to get my ducks in a row, I've called around to junk yards and tranny shops to see if worse comes to worse how much I should be saving up.
  4. I found a color that works called "bumper gray"
  5. I would be interested but I'm in the process of figuring if the one I have is worth rebuilding or not. Are you in Texas?
  6. The last owner was a dog enthusiast and the dogs kind of scratched up the back area a little bit more than I first thought. The sctraches show up big time. Thought I would paint all the plastic panels to give it a newer cleaner look. I did this to the interior of my 67 Cougar when restoring the inside, that was vinyal and the VIN had the color code # making easier to get a close match.
  7. Being totally new to SUV vehicle, enlighten me on some of the neat things to add to this Rig? Where is a good place to get detail mechanical and electrical shop manuals for a 95 Pathfinder ?
  8. Never mind the VIN number, I found a spot to decode it. I should have researched this before I posted. I did notice that this VIN does not give you external color or internal color entries like my old 67 Cougar does. I know these are 2 seperate kinds of vehicles but is there a way to get a color code or do I go to the local Nissan place and tell them I have a grey interior? All Nissan grey is the same?
  9. Where can I find paint for the interior parts? It is a grey interior but I can not seem to find the right color grey, any grey that looks close is metalic Is there a WEB site that breaks down the vehicle VIN?
  10. Just got her home She runs good as long as you shift from 2nd to 4th and by pass 3rd and forget about 5th. I'll be doing a lot of posting so bare with me. Thanks guys Was there more than 1 model of 5 speed trannie or were all manual tranmission during this year the same one? I'll keep editng ths post as I keep thinking of questions. I notice that the crash rating on this vehicle is poor, would a cattle guard Grill/bumper help in safety? I'm thinking about letting my boy drive it and God forbid there be some iknd of accident. I would want as much between him and what ever it is that might be in collision with him. I need to ask, It took my a while to find this forum, I post a request on the "NissanClub" site for asistance in locating a "PathFinder" forum. I t maybe just me but is there some recentment from the "Tuners" towards off road guys or/and Pathfinder owners? I never did get any responce from that forum "nissanclub". After reading a couple of post at that site I have to say that if what I read, the verbaige used and the contents, is any indiciatoin of the mentality and persona of these guys I'm glad I'm not associated with "tuners". I' m no a prude but give me break.
  11. Just picked up a 95 XE Path Finder, 220,000 miles, front windshield cracked, 5 speed manual trannie thrashed, 5th gear gone. Exterior excellent shape no dents, glossy paint. Interior excellent, no rips, no cracks. Outside of trannie everything works well. Dropped a grand to pick this rig up, do you think that was to much? Is there an overhaul kit available for the manual transmissions?
