  1. i took off my grille when changing all my headlights and other little things. there are some clips that are on the back of the grille that you have to just squeeze with pliers (i think) then pop one side out, do the other side...etc. its not hard dont worry about it being hard! definately post pics with your done i wanna see it! -rob
  2. for custom cat back exhaust, what diameter of piping is good? i heard 2.25 from cat back to muffler then 2.5 out?
  3. we tried that ! truck wouldnt budge, the only thing left was to pull by axle which i am always afraid of.
  4. maybe ill just end up getting a hitch. thank you guys for that!
  5. im looking for something exactly like that. the problem is, i cant weld! is there any way i could bolt them on to something?
  6. is there anything i can do or buy to be able to have people pull me out by the rear of my car? for example, d rings, shackles, etc. i don't want to buy a hitch. i have a 1999.5 and there are tow hooks on the front. in the winter i got stuck in 2 1/2 feet of snow, and the absolute only solution was to pull me out by the rear axle. thank god everything turned out okay. thanks! -Rob Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  7. i know pro comp offers a 16x8 steel wheel with 2.5 backspacing. is that too little?
  8. if your into steel wheels, make ones with custom backspacing!
  9. i mean this whole progress and a potential greater lift in production for our cars is amazing! def keep us updated as im sure many are interested!
  10. wow, this is amazing. i would CERTAINLY be interested in a kit. however i would want to buy the front lift from you, and would order the rear springs and lines separately so i can build up the money. i like to buy things piece by piece because i'm a bad saver! when do you think this could happen?
  11. how are you planning on doing the steering extension? would it have to be welded in?
  12. i am certainly interested. my main concern is the steering linkage...not having that in the package would slow me down from buying it.
  13. It took about 3-4 days. They shipped very quickly and were packaged very well. I highly recommend using that site.
  14. you'll want to go with an OEM strut mount, and you'll also want to replace your strut bearing while your in there. i have heard KYB's strut bearing and mount package fails at around 12,000 miles. you can go to the dealer to get replacements, or order them online from a factory site. factory nissan parts strut diagram here is the site i ordered mine off of. look at the diagram of the strut. you are going to need numbers 9 and 12, two of each! good luck and welcome to the forum!
  15. wait so am i good with the 4.6's and 35's? im confused!
  16. i also am going to do this lift, but my main concern is re-gearing. what gears would i use for 33's and 35's? and what do i buy for the complete gear swap? is it front and rear? i already have the 4.636 gears
  17. they didnt even do any kind of alignment. they didnt touch anything, just told me i had too much. but the wheel looks exactly the same. ill take it apart tomorrow
  18. im gonna take a look tomorrow, but im gonna replace the rotors anyway. ive been meaning to do that for a while now. what would the shaky steering wheel be from?
  19. so i went to get an alignment, and the guy told me i had too much camber to align it properly. i guess i have to buy another set of camber bolts? however, on the way home...i hit a pothole of death with my passenger tire. after that my steering wheel was violently shaking when the brakes were applied, and when i did apply the breaks, the wheel would make a sharp left turn and i had to control the car so i didn't slam into anyone! i also notices a bad smell, almost like burning rubber. i could smell it when i was driving. does anyone know what the problem could be? bad rotors? calipers? anything would be appreciated! -Rob
  20. that is great! i would have loved to use this when i had to do my hubs. one thing is that i didnt put the longer studs in, and it still went on perfectly. would this be the reason why my 4LO does not work? it just revs like its in N when i put it in 4LO. also i get noises when im in 4HI when the wheel is locked all the way turning? i just replaced both CV's also.
  21. its great that there are more products for our R50's! but what exactly are these for? whats the advantage of buying them?
  22. would you guys be able to tell me if its okay running 33's AFTER i attempt a SFD, if i have 4.6 gears? i have a 1999.5 LE. what about 35's also?
