94 Pathy

SUCKS A$$! On my '94 I had to unbolt the exhaust and drop the whole pan also. To be able to get the pan off and down, I had to pry the exhaust pipe down with a GIANT prybar while my buddy wiggled the darn pan down & out. Replaced the filter and gasket and fought the bastard back on! AMEN for the ones with drain plugs! Now I'm starting to get irritated just thinking about it, so I'm going to leave now and chat with you'll later! :X 94 Pathy

:sniff: Sorry I didn't do a write up on this! I replaced my passengers half shaft. Be patient! It's not hard at all. A lot of disassembling, but not hard. If you have a Chilton, it will walk you right through everything. I used mine and it was my 1st time ever replacing a halfshaft. If you need some help, that is if you get stuck from the write ups, email me and I'll walk you through it. I guess first thing is first; when are you planning on changing the shaft out? One other thing about changing just the boots.....There are new boots out now that zip instead of having to take the shaft out....Reminder, they are only for the outer boots, not the inner! Candy A$$! :sniff: I agree w/ MatterHorn! Research and look the vehicle over like non other! Suck it up and start fixing the things you can get to rightnow and go from there! The more you do on your own, the more your going to be able to share and the more money you will be able to save! It could be alot worse! You could own a FORD! Thanks guys! I've painted my centers the aluminum look for a while and they kept fading, so I used a hammered look. All my exterior trim except the bumpers are painted with this and a lot of the interior trim also. I've had many compliments around here from people also. I think yours would look just fine Flnl! Yeah, I know! I'm still kind of confused by looking at others prerunners that look like a BAJA and some that look more like mine, but mounted different. Here are a couple of close-ups on how it mounts.

I'm going to give it a try. I have some pic's attached for the viewing of the prerunner. Oh yeah, have I told everyone the my computer sucks a$$! For some reason it's not letting me attach more than one pic. That sucks donkey d#*k!

Just an FYI....The BAJA fenders stick out 4"...I'm guessing that is compared to the HB fenders? Does anyone know right off hand what a Pathy's fenders measure out? If it is close, I don't think I'm going to get them! Plus I have a 4door and the bubble works out onto the rear doors! Not good for a 4dr, but a 2dr it would look kickass! :bow: Just my 2cents worth

Mine started to fade, so I painted them with an aluminum looking paint to match the wheels, but after awhile, they faded again. I decided to paint them the hammered look along with all my other accessories. I think they look cool and haven't faded at all!

Yo A Perd, You mentioned you have a gas leak? I'm running into the same thing. I got under my Pathy the other day and the gas tank skidplate looked wet in a particular area. Not the whole thing, but a 1/3 of it. I reached up to check the gas lines and the connections where the fuel pump would be and nothing. My garage smells like a gas can. You can get a great buzz going if you stayed in the garage long enough with the doors closed. What do some of you guys suggest? I really would like to make it simple and fix it myself, but who has the time? Thanks!

Hey Abomb1, That looks more like a BAJA PreRunner! Am I wrong? Looks sweet though!

But don't the BAJA fenders bubble out also? I wish I could find some just to try and see what it looks like! Where would I look for used or even new to try it out?

That would be awsome! I think it will be better on a 2dr though. There is a guy......I believe on AC's site that is doing that with his 2dr, but no top. Just open like a truckbed and has his spare tire mounted in the back cargo area on one of those truck slanted spare tire racks. Not too sure if it's the same as what 88 saw, but looks awsome! Good luck with it and definately post the pic's when finished.

Lookin' good! I have a dumb question! I'm thinking about putting a body lift on first since it is much cheaper for me right now....Would it be better to put a body lift on before a suspension or doesn't it really matter? Thanks everyone!

I sure in hell hope you can pull a 19" boat! NOw a 19' boat you still shouldn't have a problem. Tranny cooler is the wise was to go. I've towed a 16' myself and not a problem. I was talking to a guy the other day that has a 9.5" lift and 35's on his Dorango. Tuf as hell to pull his 24' Jet boat. Good luck!

:bow: So far so good! I wiggled and checked the connection and also connected the (I think it's) throttle sensor circuit. I originally disconnected it cause it really wasn't doing anything for me when the rough idle was happening to me before. A buddy of mine said it really doesn't need t obe hooked up unless you really have problems. It ran great forever, until now. I checked vaccuum lines MAF connector and the throttle sensor. Keeping my fingers crossed!

I was thinking about the air intake. It's been a while since I changed it. The fuel filter should still be good, but it's cheap enough to change out anyway. Thanks!

:furious: Alright! The same problem is going on when my Pathy gets warmed up. It stalls or has a rough idle at stops or slowing way down. I replaced the knock sensor recentlly and new Platinum plugs. Wires looked good and so did the distributor. Now I'm thinking hte O2 sensor. Possibility? It happened before and I thought I happen to get some bad gas at the station. It ran fine for a few days and now back to the rough idle and stalling. any suggestions would be greatly appriciated! Thanks! 94 Pathy
