What year Pathys have fender flares?
Vsicks Pathy replied to Splinter's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
You can get a wide body option too. The flares are bigger and look better than the stock ones. -
The Pathfinder is inherently gutless, so unless you want to spend your inheritance, don't bother modifying the running gear at all. If it needs to be fixed, fix it. You probably have an auto so put in a cooler for that. You would be better off spending your hard earned putting in a live axle and a body lift. This solves two of the larger issues the Pathfinder has..... 1, and this can be costly for the Pathy owner that goes off road, you will be able to go off road and not destroy your steering components, and 2, you will be able to fit decent size tyres so you can go off road, 33's are now starting to look small now mind you, but you can still 4wd on them quite nicely. I wouldn't consider anything smaller than 32's if you are serious and really want to go 4wding.

Why are you yelling mz? lol.

Getting stuck is easy. Getting out can be the hard part. You have learned the same lesson I, and no doubt others did first time around. A 4x4 isn't actually a 4x4 after all.

steering shaft doesn't budge (to lengthen for 3" BL)
Vsicks Pathy replied to MikeV's topic in The Garage
Get a shaft from a 4x4 Navara/Hardbody, as they come standard with a 2" body lift. Because of that, the shafts are longer than the Pathy one and makes for a neat, stock looking mod. Besides all of that, you will not have to put up with the BS of struggling to lengthen the one you have. Chances are you will bend it anyway. -
no BL's available for wd21 w/ an automatic tranny?
Vsicks Pathy replied to StatutoryApe's topic in The Garage
You will be able to run the exhaust between the body and the chassis with a 3" body lift. By that I am saying you will never rip your exhaust system off when 4wding. -

no BL's available for wd21 w/ an automatic tranny?
Vsicks Pathy replied to StatutoryApe's topic in The Garage
To get 33's on you will need to lift both body and suspension 3" for a total of 6" lift. I will say for the final time... If you are going to do one lift at a time then do the body lift first. A suspension lift, if you want hassle free off raoding, has to be done right and costs a fair whack of money. There is a lot of info on this site re body V's suspension lift. Pros and con for each are stated. Best you read up on it and decide for yourself. -
You buggers won it by default. Back to back for ....... I can't say his name. TRAITOR!

Do the body lift first. It is less hassle, cheaper and more reliable. -

I don't think manual or auto makes any difference. Just use the manual kit. -

Fair dinkum, yep, that horrid swear word again, some of you lot need to go and find a sense of humour. If you can't find one please buy one. And if you want to be pedantic trainman, show me the letter to the editor that he wrote apologising for pointing out incorrect sentence structure amongst other things. I certainly did see it. You seem to have though??? No good him saying sorry to us. He didn't set out to correct us did he? Get over yourselves FFS. Seems the only one to "get it" was 88 himself. Hats off to him for being one of a few here that can see past their own belligerence. -

From Wikipedia... "A rant is a widespread and distinctive phenomenon of emotional speech or writing in the form of a series of complaints or attacks, about a topic of interest, many times political in nature. Rarely, rants express great praise, defending an idea or a person from attack." Now look at the original post and compare. -
I have to agree with Simon. There isn't anything that can rattle really fuel pump wise. It could be a baffle that has come away though. Also your fuel pump pressurises the fuel rail, hence it may run after you switch off for a very short time and (with the ignition on) before it fires up.

It seems that you somehow missed the reason for my sh!tstir. Perhaps 88 will explain it to you. Feel free to catch up here too if you wish. And to answer your question.... yes, I agree with you 110%. That is what makes what I said so poignant. -
Lokka Front Diff Locker, Available Or No?

The $US is collapsing at an alarming rate, for them. But for us it will be all good. Give it another 6 to 12 months at the current economical and trade deficit levels and your $NZ will be worth as much as the $US, if not more. We are already at record highs for $AU. Not too long ago it was $AU0.75 to the $US1. We are now at $AU0.90 to the $US1. I am saving my $$$$ for a spending spree in the US. Can't wait. -

The subject of the topic is nothing more than a rant if you look at it. It has no point and makes none either. Do you not agree? Besides that, it is off topic. -

No Pezzy, quite the opposite in fact. I love to love the beaver and in anyway possible. If only it could be bottled.... hmmmm....... there you go, you got me daydreaming. But! what a dream. I was making a smartarse point pertaining to what may or may not be double standards that's all. Now back to that dream I was having. :tonguefinger: lol. -

Way way way off topic. I note ranting here too. Off topic = a lockable or (in extreme cases) a deletable offense. Combine this with the rant factor and topic deletion is the only option left, that is if we are to be consistent anyway. Isn't it? -
