Go to advance auto parts... they got everything you need to do a full custom exhaust there....except the welders and the people to do it for ya.... my plan is from my headers back, get a catalytic converter from a junk yard, shorten the pipes on it to make it just a cat, then convert to 2.5" pipe, and straight pipe it to a thrust turbo muffler, then a down pipe.... hidden exhaust..... Just gotta make a spot for the O2 sensors, then make sure i still got my spark arresters... I was gonna go 3" but I cant find an exhaust pipe adapter to go from 1.75"-3" and sorry I ment Thrush exhaust http://www.thrushexhaust.com/products.html I am going with the turbo..... And at advance auto parts its $23 for the muffler at my local one....28273 And the thrush mufflers are all reversible for 2 sounds in one! Dont like whats coming out of one end, turn it around and you got something different....freaken awesome!

I am gonna go with Thrust turbo on my 88.... heard a local hard-body pickup with one here in town and it sounded pretty nice.... it was deep and rich sounding....

I say go BFG Mud terrains or all terrains..... yeah its a common tire but, they are reliable, good for the money, and provide great traction on the road and off.... I have talked to so many people about their tires and they say that the BFG all terrains are their favorite tire.... i like mine... lasted a while and relatively no wear....

yeah when i pulled my Tb off i found alot of build up. I am gonna get a vacuum with a long hose and at the same time vacuum all of it up and scrape it clean so it wont fall in... did that on a friends maxima and his runs strong.... Now the whole thing about the mixture heater, isn't it better for combustion to have a cooler mixture? If I remember right I think thats why they make COLD air intakes, for colder air to get to the engine... Doesn't make much sense.... Now when it comes to port and polishing, is there some way I could do it in my own garage? I know its expensive (above $150) to get that done cause its around $200 per Head on my friends 1969 El Camino and he could afford it... I am gonna rebuild my TB and clean it up a bit, my rebuild kit should be at napa later today. If anyone has got some advice about this that would be awesome.... And does anyone have an "exploded view picture" of the throttle body? like a diagram of all the parts and what not?

Sending unit and all the pieces in the gas tank are what i really need.... if you got a throttle body i would look into getting that off your hands...

So my 88 quit on me, definably fuel related, cause it would crank but not turn over, pumps good, filter is new, lines are clean. I pulled my throttle body Tuesday, found a whole bunch of carbon build up on it. So i am gonna get that cleaned up, and get my throttle body cleaned up a bit. I got Certified friends to help me out with this, and people for supplies. Getting the rebuild kit from NAPA tomorrow (3/12/09). Now my main concern is, are there any dangers with rebuilding a throttle body? My other question is, besides port and polishing, are there any other ways to get more performance from the throttle body? I know they sell spacer kits for them but haven't found one for my '88..... Do they sell jetting kits for throttle bodies? I know that upgrading my injectors COULD help but im not so sure. Got anything? Help me out...

I would say go to a local junkyard and find a pathfinder and pull the motor and trans, and get the parts that are missing! Go to advanced auto parts.... get some bondo and fix those dents.... Then also look at your front end and find out what are the specific things that are wrong and then pull em from a pathy at that junk yard... once you get that engine and trans, build a stand in you garage and get that motor to work well... then do a swap.... Takes time but its worth it..... Then work on the specifics like paint and what not once you get it all to work... you might just wanna get a whole pathfinder from a junkyard then take parts as needed.... and sell it to a scrap yard when done

I know about the posting by Morningwould about the Light bar, and I know it is hard to find the OEM one's. I am thinking about a roof rack and light bars sometime in the future, not sure totally what I am looking for in terms of a nice one. I know the easiest thing to do is build it myself, but does anyone know where I might be able to find one Cheaper than the one on https://www.4x4parts.com/. ( I don't wanna spend $450 on a roof rack for my Pathy.) If you have any information to share it would be greatly appreciated.

Once i Finish fixing the holes on my floor pan I will throw some on, then the Lowest 1/2 of my rocker panel I will do it also.... and I am thinking about maybe hitting my frame if I have enough... Friend bought a kit and used a dab or 2 and said he would just basically give me the rest so I am gonna use it for some stuff and hopefully it works out well....

Rhino Liner is the best.... I am thinking about putting that inside my pathfinder once I am done fixing the rust... the only problem I got is that I have subs and I don't know how it will sound... It might rattle or echo or do something weird... all I know is that if my subs rattle my car... at least the inside will hold together... Has anyone ever though of Rhino lining the dash accent pieces? I wonder how or if that will look cool or not....

What do you mean by GG? And the Frame was beautiful! I know nissan pathy's had rust problems with the frames but this was so clean... few spots where i took a wire brush to it, but nothing past slight surface rust. I ended up painting it too!

So you just threw sheet metal over the rust holes and then turned it into storage space? Now I can see that working, but i still want to have functional Rear seats. Would you recommend the Idea of cutting the floor panels out of another pathfinder with that section being rust free? Or go get sheet metal and fabricate my own panels? And I checked under my pedals and i got some surface rust so i might just through a few layers of black rust-oleum paint over that...

I know Calmini makes a lift and there is one on 4 wheel parts... I have also heard stories such as you can take the coils from from a '71-79 Ford F150 or F100 and use them in the rear for a 3" lift. I have heard you do the same from the very first Ford Bronco's and it works the same way. Does anyone know or have any proof of these concepts working? And does anyone know of any other things they have heard that work as well?

The motor will crank, but wont start so i assumed it was the fuel pump or filter. ( she has over 250,000 on her so i had to take a look) and my sending unit is bad as well....
