  1. Something else that should be considered is a set of Caster / Camber plates to replace the top strut mount. I just put a set in my Mustang when I lowered it and it makes it much easier on front end alignments. Plus it has a heavier spherical bearing as well. Craig
  2. Well I'm not new, but I am back from Iraq.. It was a long year and my poor neglected Pathy needs some TLC and some wheelin. Anyway Great to be back !! Here was my daily driver in Iraq after a little BOOM.. Well the upload wouldnt work...
  3. Got it all the way over in Mosul Iraq....
  4. Nobody confirmed and the minimum was never met. I'm enroute to Iraq this month and havent followed up on it so I guess its a wash 2 more days and the Pathy either goes on blocks or my wife will drive it during the winter.
  5. Except the top part is removable its just mounted on top its not like the i series winches.
  6. Here is the perfect winch for that hideaway mount, weighs in at 54 lbs, only draw back is it only has 50' of line but nothing that cant be overcome with a couple of straps if needed... I WANT ONE !!!!! -bounce-
  7. Hey Dean what did you get to mount your PDA?? I bought one of the ProClip systems and Love it !! I have the HP iPaq 2415 with a cheap CF Card GPS and I'm running the TomTom software for Pocket PC. I really love it and its usually right on the money when giving directions.
  8. I use nothing but regular unleaded, It might work if you disconnect all power to the ECU for a short period of time and it will clear out the data then you shouldnt have the problem. I dont know if this works with Nissans as I have never done it but it worked on my Ford F150.
  9. Thats what I do, lock em in at the start of winter and leave em till spring.
  10. I'll take a wrap around !! Hey Veng is this guy in the NorthEast ?? I would even drive to pick it up. Looks like $75 to $100 for powdercoating which is what I would do. When do you think he would have one available ??? Awesome Job Veng !! Thanks for finding this one !!
  11. Well I just ordered the Black Panther Super Protection Kit in Black Powdercoat. Marcel says it will ship on Friday. Anyone else using this system ?? Craig
  12. Actually I just gave my old steps to a buddy who does fab work at a local welding place, I showed him some pictures and he is going to weld me up a set in the next few days. I dont like waiting and I only have 88 days left till I leave for the big sand box. On another note, I just ordered the full meal deal on skidplates from Black Panther, cant wait till they get here. Then it will bangin time up on the MaBell trail... -bounce-
  13. How do you like them and have you banged em hard yet ?? Just curious as I do alot of rock hoppin up here in the Northeast..
  14. I was going to get a set of these .. http://www.rocky-road.com/pathfinderrockrail.html But when I e-mailed them, they didnt know as they hadnt put a set on an 01 .. From the photo's they dont use the stock step rail mounts and look like they mount up a lot heavier than the stock steps.
  15. Does anyone know if rockrails for a 99.5 will fit a 2001 ?? Are the side step mounts the same ? Thanks Craig
  16. I opted to go down to the 15's just for the sidewalls, plus the price difference was quite a bit .. I got 4 tires BFG AT KO 31 x 10.50 and 4 AR 767 wheels 15x8 with 4"BS mounted balanced lugs locks chrome centercaps front end alignment for $720.00
  17. One word "AWESOME" where did you get the block lift ??
  18. Where do you get a 6" lift ?? Ya cant do a Body lift with a UniBody ?? I know TMorgan is working on a 4 1/2 lift..??
  19. Actually we mounted the 32's on the 4.0 BS and they cleared the shock tower just fine.
  20. Yup sliders will be added as well, for now the stock steps are staying as they do give some minor protection from rocks and stuff..
  21. Alright I have read through all the posts about tires and here is what I found out today by trial and error. My Pathy is a 2001 with the AC 2 1/2" Lift (more like 3"). Stock it has 16" wheels . *Myth 1: 15" wheels wont fit because of Caliper spacing, it will hit the caliper. *BUSTED: I have a set of AR 767 15 x 8 12mm Offset (4" BS) Wheels on it now with no problems clearing the caliper, there appears to be more space than with the stock aluminum wheels. *Myth 2: 32" tires fit with only minor trimming with the AC Lift. BUSTED: I would have to hack the front bumper lower corners off to allow the wheel to turn. Approximately 3" would have to be hacked off at a 45 degree angle just to clear these tires. In the rear the plastic inner fender well would need some extensive redesign as well. A really good package with no trimming needed is the AC Lift kit and a set of AR767 15x8 wheels 4"BS and 31x10.50 tires. Looks good no cutting needed. Add the full under armor would be better than cutting up the wheel wells. Next purchase will be the AC Full Armor kit with the diff skid as well. Also a set of ARB Airlockers will be going in while I am on my Military Deployment so when I return I will have one killer toy to play with -bounce- Thanks for reading and I'm open to comments on my findings ! Craig
  22. I just sent Steve an e-mail asking a bunch of questions, and the Swing mount was one, cost of the sliders was another and towing capacity was the 3rd. I'll post when I get the reply
  23. If your still not sure who is going to fab them up or how, check out the guys at CBI Offroad Fabricators, they make those cool rear bumpers, but they may be able to do it ??
  24. Yo Snow those sliders are awesome as well you really fit it all together nicely and its all Functional as well. I didnt even think to ask for a price on the slidersm but I'de really like to firm up the rear bumpers .. I will probably order one for myself in a couple of weeks one way or another, if nobody else jumps in it will be a bit more expensive..
  25. Good lookin out on prices .. I would buy one if it wouldnt cost me over a Grand to put it on my 2001 Pathy :o The only winch mount for my ride is a ARB Bull Bar which costs over a grand !
