  1. Hahaha, I've always wondered how things get up in there. I once had a dead gecko in there. This reminds me of how terrified my aunt is with geckos. She was pulled over for going 65 in a 35 and the first thing that came out of her mouth when the cop approached the window, with the window still shut, was, "Could you get the gecko off my windshield?" Amazingly, the cop let her go, after he removed the gecko... I couldn't stop laughing when she told me that.
  2. This might be a little different situation... I don't what happend 3 days ago with me. I was taking a short trip to the mountains to see if there was snow and found out there was none so I decided to take everyone for a ride off the side of the road. We found a trail and further into it, there was a pretty steep drop. I put the truck into the Nuetral and shifted the transfer case into 4LO by pushing down and pulling back, then I proceeded down the hill. When I got to the bottom I wanted to take it out of 4LO so I did the same, Nuetral and moved the transfer case into Nuetral. but when I tried to push it up to 4HI to get to 2WD it sounded like it was grinding so I stopped pushing. Tried to see if it would go back into 4LO but it made that same sound and same feel. I was completely stopped so I don't know what was going on. A few seconds later I tried again and it went into 4HI. Is it normal that I have to wait a few seconds?
  3. Hahaha. And when that b_____ is on tight, its a PITA.
  4. Thanks for the response. I guess I'm taking it to the shop. Maybe it is better to pay someone to deal with the BS. With the tranny mod, where would I find a big enough cooler that would handle an ass whooping?
  5. I searched the forum but found no how to.. Just wondering, what's the difficulty level of the job? Would it be better to just take it to the shop. They wanted $65... They also said my front axels are bad. $340 each, P&L.
  6. Do the R50s make the same noise?
  7. They'd look pretty mean if you had the 12.5s...
  8. You know what? I get that same squeal. It only happens, like you said, after a long rest. When I start the car going, and come to a stop it squeals really loudly... But, after a while of driving, mine goes away. I too was thinking it was the CV joints since I still have auto hubs. If it is the CV joints, what else may need to be replaced that goes along with having auto hubs?
  9. Do the VG33 and the VQ35 have the same problems? Two different engines... I think we deserve 2 sections too...
  10. Hahahaha, No, no, no. What I meant was.... If I buy the 5 quart jug instead four 1 quart jugs too save money... How will I know when to stop pouring? I really don't care how much comes out of the truck, just the amount that goes in.
  11. I don't have a measuring cup.... How would I tell with a 5 quart container?
  12. Sweet.. I{d like to see pics pics of your rig.
  13. Nice... Everyone's talking about a place in Victorville, hows that place look?
  14. Freaky, I work at the San Diego airport. The runway seems to be the safest place to be during a quake.
  15. I'm here in Chula Vista... Where you located? BTW, nice truck.
  16. I have always used 5 quarts when changing my oil. Is that a bad thing? About the filter position, it is hard to reach and loosen from under the truck. I can't find a way to stop the oil from getting all over the place, but just preparing yourself with a big oil pan that will catch both oil from the filter and the drain at the same time.
  17. I have msn.com, I had it at google for a little while but changed it back. Does it count if I check NPORA before I even check my account?
  18. Hehe, those are some thin hiney tires...
  19. ITS THE CLUTCH it disengages the transmission from the engine while shifting He has had a stick before... I think, or at least I hope, he was being sarcastic with that question. Hahaha.. I for one have auto.. Makes wheeling much more simple.
  20. :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious:
