  1. yeah that is true ( i hate insurance lol) and i called around and it's all the same deal, and the water pump puts about another 100 on the bill. I'll want to do this cause i'm driving from new mexico back to school in new york and i want no problems (this is why i don't want to do it myself) so it looks like i'll have to write off the exhaust work for next summer.
  2. $412 to replace the timing belt and thermostat on a 1992 pathifinder. I know it takes a some time to do, however i was quoted 55 dollars for the belt and another fifty for the thermostat plus about 300 for labor plus tax. just wanted to make sure b/c i am no where near my trustworth mechanic and i just don't want to get hosed
  3. What is the stock exhauste pips size for a 92 pathfinder, i know 2.5" is the best but what is the original size it comes with stock.
  4. hey guys thanks alot i can always go for saving some bucks and plus ngk is a darn good brand and at the price they are a really good buy thanks alot again
  5. i'm putting in a whole new exhaust systerms (headers to tip) and i was looking for an o2 sensor and it seems they are all upwards or $99. (bosch) i was wondering if that was correct of if there is another model i should look under with the same kind of o2 sensor. also i was wondering if the pathfinder only took one o2 sensor thanks well i just found one for $80 the cheapest so far and ebay has nothing.
  6. MY FRIEND THAT IS YOUR INNER HUB (FRONT ROTORS I AM ASSUMING). TO GET THE HEX BOLTS TO TURN WITH OUT HAVING THE WHOLE ROTOR TURNING, HAVE A FRIEND HOLD ON THE BRAKE PEDAL DOWN SO THE ROTOR WONT TURN THEN LOOSEN THOSE HEXT BOLTS. IF YOU'VE ALREAD TAKEN THE CALIPERS OFF THEN SCREW ON ONE OF THE LUGS BACK ON AND WITH TWO LUG WRENCHES OR SOCKET WRENCH LOSSEN THE HEX BOLT WHILE RESTRICTING THE ROTOR FROM TURNING WITH THE LUG AND THE OTHER WRENCH. BUT YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO REMOVE THE HUB AND ROTOR ASSEMBLY OFF THE AXLE AS A WHOLE UNIT. I HOPE I HELPED IF NOT TRY THIS WEBSITE IT'S A WRITE UP FROM ONE OF THE NPORA MEMBERS FRONT ROTOR REPLACEMENT MR JIM IF THIS WORKS LET ME KNOW B/C I WILL BE DOING MY FRONT BRAKES SOON I AM JUST WATING ON THE CALIPERS. BUT THE FUNNY THING IS WHEN I DID THE REAR ROTORS I HAD TAKEN EVER THING OFF CALIPERS AND ALL AND COULN'T GET THE DAMN ROTOR OFF FOR THE LIFE OF ME, I WAS HAMMERING THEM AND EVERYTHING I THOUGHT THEY WERE RUSTED ON. TURNS OUT THE FREAKING PARKING BRAKE WAS ON AND B/C THEY USE SHOES ON THE INSIDE I HAD TO IDEAL. SO I RELEASED IT AND THEY SLID RIGHT OFF. I FELT LIKE A FREAKING IDIOT!!!
  7. That is sofa king genius that that Nissan put that in there, it's just too bad they never told anyone before some lonely jackal (still not sure about swearing on here) with his a bag of socket extension and rachet wrench trying to climb in the engine to get that damn spark plug out. I was alomost about to take to my machanic cause it was suck a pain in the but you seriously took all the jacks out of all your cars lol that's awful lol. I work at a rental car place and we can't even let a car leave the lot if it doesn't even have a manual let alone a spare or jack.
  8. this is gonna sound stupid but when ever that happens to me (not starting on first try) I turn the key around. I am not sure if it solves the prob but it works every time it never take me more than two times. keeps my friend from driving my pathy. how ever i do beleive i will be replacing the starter soon although that looks like a pia
  9. The other day i was looking around the engine, to try and see where i was gonna put a k&n, when i noticed somthing. the pipe the runs along the top of the fan shroud is conceted to the air box. may not be new to you but it is to me. At first i thought it was an over flow pipe for coolant and i thought that was dumb cause it aims right at the battery. Any ways this pipe is cloged by Nissan , so i'm wondering why Nissan put it there (which seems to be my popular question lately ). well today i took the plug off and ran the engine no differnce so if anyone has a clue let me know thanks.
  10. So is it fairly easy to replace shocks, is it just a bolt on bolt off or do you need a special too for the job Thanks
  11. When i mounted mine I mounted it in front of the Ac conditioner, only because i was warned and warned that it would restricked air flow to the radiator and yadda yadda. so i mounted it in front of ac conditioner but i would like to replace and mout it inbetween the a/c conditioner and the radiator for better protection and looks. But now thst i just relocated to New mexico I'm concerned that it might restrict the flow and over heat the engine, and since my Thermometer isn't the most reliable gauge in my cluster (same as the gas gauge) i was wondering if mounting it between would reduce air flow
  12. Any educated guesses on how much a full 2.5" exhaust system (headers to tip with catilytic convert and reasonable muffler, installed) with pacesetter headers would cost. Just looking for a range. thanks
  13. Any educated guesses on how much a full 2.5" exhaust system (headers to tip with catilytic convert and reasonable muffler, installed) with pacesetter headers would cost. Just looking for a range. thanks
  14. I Hardly ever see the "safari green" like mine it's a nice color though.
  15. Are you talking about the "chips" that plug into your MAF adapter and basicly tell your ECU that your running colder air. If you find out if that works let me know. but I have my doubts. I dono if i want somthing messing with my ECU -alcohol-
  16. I ordered one of those filters with the "MAF ADAPTER" of ebay about a week ago. It won't fit. Not a chance in NY (AKA hell). Your MAF's (mass air flow meter) diameter is about 4" so a 3" diameter filter or MAF adapter does't make sense. I would email the buyer and have him send you ab picture and copare it to your MAF to see if it will fit. JWT pop charger They make a filter with an adapter that should fit. And yeah it's a little more $ but Nissan is what they do so i would assume they do it right. let us know what you decide to do
  17. 88 you should do a write on the installation of your second batter.
  18. quick question does it matter wether the inlet and out on the cooler are on the same sides like this one tranny cool. or should it be where the inlet and out let are on the bottom on different sides.
  19. does any one know the measurments off the top of their head i need them to be able to fabricate an adapter it would be awsome if you know them
  20. precise1 is that offer for the MAF adapter this on the table let me know b/c the once i got off ebay is a dud so i dono what measurements you'll need i mean it should be the same as your pathy if it's a 90-95. thanks -alcohol-
  21. 88 will that fit on our pathy's or at least my 92 if so that is a good deal -alcohol-
  22. So I looked around the forum (which i promise i will start doing before posting), and i found out that bigger is better. but if you know somthing i don't let me know i just don't want to go too big.
  23. Hey thanks guys for all the help. The fuel line job looks easy enough but i know i would mess up in a heartbeat. turns out ebay has a cheapo cone filter that comes with an adapter for the Pathfinder, so i'll do that and if the filter is a joke at least i still have the adapter. But thanks all for the help i appreciate it and thanks Precise1 for the offer, I might still need it though if this ebay one is a joke.
  24. would i be in trouble if i got to big of a cooler or is bigger better, i saw one for $33 26,000 gvw is that too much?
