  1. Ok Guys, Here we Go... I got the Codes, 43, 11 43 was the Crank Angle sensor. I replaced Sensor and The Code 86'd itself. Code 11 and the Problem still Exists. its Supposedly a Throttle Position Sensor. I replaced the Black Pastic Box on the Right of the TBI, No change. Where is this Sensor? I got the Parts if i just knew where it goes!! Any Help would be Great here guys..... Oh PS.. my CPU has a Toggle swtich instead of a screwdriver Turned Dial. Is this Normal? I just want to see if my CPU has been Replaced. ONE MORE THING... . there is a small Black Pastic Exrusion on the back of my CPU, i took it off and there is 3 wires and a Small Watch battery Looking Mabob. Any Ideas? I know the guy who gave the pathy to me a year ago was Kinda Nutty and i was wonder if maybee that was some aftermarket Performace Gizmo or something. And to reply to the Previous Posts. Truck parked 2 weeks ago, with Half a tank of gas. It was sitting 2 months previous to being Moved and Parked there. It MIGHT still be a fuel Issue, but just 2 weeks before it Started and Ran Fine.   2. Im Pulling the Codes First Thing Tommrow Morning. Im Leaning Toward a Possible Bad Tank of gas, Bad Fuel Filter, or an Electronic part. Will get Back on here asap with that Info.... Thanks for the info Guys!
  3. Gentlemen, I need your Expertise. Here's whats Going on.... Got an 87 Pathy SE, automatic. V6 Truck has been Running Great untill Today I went to go and start it and shes not running correctly. I parked it on a hill backwards about 2 weeks ago and went to go start it today. It was Rough to start. Once i got it started she Barely Idled, Almost as if it was missing a few Cyl's. upon Depressing the Throttle she Picked up but was wofting some heck of a cloud from the Exhaust. it was Black in Color, which in my Experiance means Air/Fuel Issues. If i tried to bring the RPM over 3,500, it acted as if the rev Limiter kicked in. She Bounced from 4 to 3,500 and would not go any higher, at any Depression Level on the accelerator. I took of the air Cleaner, didnt Find any Critters in there (which happens quite a bit up here). She Sounds as if she's Sucking a LOT of Air. Im wondering if a Sensor or other Electonic Part, possibly a Crank Angle Sensor or TP Sensor, may have went. I would REALLY appreciate any advice. I will be Pulling the Codes from the CPU tommrow, but having a Little Forknowledge if someone had this Problem before would be Great. I do have a Complete Seccond Engine for parts if i needed.   4. Okokok. Dumb Rear End question here.... What the heck is this orange sticker im hearing about. I got an 87 Pathy that i KNOW does not have a LSD, BUT i have a rear from an 88 that acts Just like an LSD (Turn the Input, Both wheels Turn Reguardless if one is being Hamperd from turning, acts like POSI). Is there a way i can tell for SURE without installing it and getting Stuck or Jacking the truck on on side to see if it is a LSD, If so, Its going in my 87!!
  5. I got some PWS stuff Here from a 88 pathy and an 86 hardbody Pickup. I didnt get a change to read all the posts, But tell me your model year and maybee someone else (Poking at 88) can verify if they will work. Tell me exaclty what you need and i can remove it from the truck for you. (im in the process of scrapping the two.)
  6. hey Guys, just a reminder, the reason why the R-134A retrofit kits Come with new Rings and seals sometimes is beacuase the r-134A Rots the Seals and Causes Leaks. You may want to check and see what the Compatability chart says about the pathy. most auto parts Places have crossover kits for about 100 Bucks with the Charging Oil, Fittings, seals, Gagues,and Refrigerant. Just an Idea....
  7. Ok I pulled my Speedo Assy Off the shelf to see what your looking at. Mine is an 88 Gauge set so i cannt be too specifc, But The little brown holder that holds the bulb is what i beleive you are refering too. This Houses a Bulb Part # 152. Sylvania Makes these Bulbs in diffrent colors, BUT they also make them In HIGH INTENSITY also. You can also Look in the Bulb Section at your local Autoparts Store and see what other Types of Bulbs that have the Same Physical Attributes (shape and Somewhat same size, just the bottom you need to be Concerned With really). Look for a bulb that draws a little more amps than the current one. This will give you a little more intesnsity. But i also find it odd that there is no Dimmer control. Are you sure that someone Didnt Attempt to replace it, Remove the retaining Nut and Drop the resistor Pack behind the Dash? Hope above helps. If thats not the right Bulb #, Let me know. ill Pull some of the others and see what i can find or what else i can do to help
  8. Ok Guys here's One for ya. My Dad is a OTR Truck Driver that owns his own rig. He upgraded the alt in his Peterbuilt to a 210 Amp Unit, replacing the 175 amp one. Now i might be a little sick but when i was putting my pathy back together i did test fit that sucker in there. Its the same diamater and the Pulley will work with a Little modification. the only problem is the Altenator is MUCH Longer than the Standard Alt, but it did Fit without any problems. I didnt wire it up because my dad wasnt willing to let it go... Then... . Those suckers Produce massive amperage at low RPM.. (RPM on most Cat Engines dont run much over 2,500 and thats even high. If you want a part # or something, let me know. Ill see if i can get it from my dad. And BTW these are easy to rebuild and dont Burn out that Quick. My dad's usally last him about 150,000 -200,000 Miles. For a Pathy, Thats QUITE a long time!

  11. I got a Spare if your intrested. With all Electronics (wiper, Electric Release for the Glass Etc). Its Red, and has a Small Ding on the Right side.   12. Ok Guys, try this. SLIDE PINS!!!. Proper maint on the slide pins may Help. I Wrote a Doc a while back on Correct Maint for Nissan Slide Pins, All Models. The Little rubber boots Suck in Moisture and Cause the Pins to rust and Not Slide Correctly. if there is resistance on the Release of the Caliper, it will hang. These Pins will Cause That.   13. Ok, Here's an Angle that No One's Talking About? Liability Insurance. That's Going to Be Quite hard to Get where it would be Cost Efficent to Make Money onthe idea. Think about it. If some Yoyo comes in there and Decides to arc weld his Gas Tank.................................. NOT a Good Situation.. PS. I would be Willing to Donate a few Extra Pathy parts, if someone paid the Shipping.

  16. 85% of a 88 Pathfinder sawzalled into Manageable, Crushed Peices. I felt it was the only way to give the one i got for parts a proper burrial. ... and yes, Taps was played on the way to the yard......
  17. Hi Guys! I got a 87 with the same Problem. I found it was the Valveing system Situated behind the Drivers side headlight. it has some exhaust tubing. I believe this is the EGR system. My was Rotted!. if its Extremely Rusty or its tapping, then that Might be Your Problem.
