Problem fixed! After replacing the Amp (again) I traced a short at the wiper motor gearbox. Where the mechanical switching contact is. After a lot of fault finding, stripping down said gearbox and finding nothing wrong there, tracing wiring out, finding nothing. I discovered I had transposed the gearbox wiringFFS! Anyways all is working as it should. Bring on Wednesday!!!!! Thanks heaps for your help @Slartibartfast1 point
