  1. I was just having the same issue using an OEM fob I got on Ebay. I tried all manner of things and what finally worked was closing all of the doors and turning the console alarm switch to the off position. After that I tried again and all of a sudden it worked. On the way I opened and closed all the doors activating the switch on each one as I went. I also found that if I had my finger on the button in the control box and pressed it as soon as I cycled the key (tough to do this) it seemed to make a difference. The fob was recognized every time I tried as I could get the unit to beep with the fob, but could not get the locks to operate. Perhaps I just got lucky, but maybe this will help.
