Mrelcocko
Does anyone know how I can go about getting the rear lower control arm bolts out?? I got the bolt out of the one thats connected up under the frame, but the one thats connected to the rear end it won't budge. I got the nut off of it. It's like the bolt is rusted to the inside of the bushing.

Mrelcocko
Thanks a lot! I've also got a 98 Pathy XE I flipped the script on. I spent a lot of time and money on it, but in the end well worth it.I PAID 500$ FOR IT AND PAINTED 2 SMALL ROOMS FOR MY BROTHER'S EX. THEY SPLIT UP A WEEK LATER BECAUSE OF IT. LOL!!!! Between my QX4 and Pathy I paid less than $2,000 for both. GOD BLESSED ME FOR SURE.They split up cause my brother didn't want her to get rid of it, he wanted it and she sold it me LOL LOL!! The first picture was a couple of weeks after I got it. Id already put the clean on it but as you can see no fog lights and of course the wheels. On the inside. I updated the door panels, steering wheel, seats, guages, switches, temp/compass console, Homelink sunvisors, fog light swith for factory operation on the column. Almost every part came from my local Pull-a-Part. On the outside, roof racks, light bar, tailights, painted/ undercoated everything and put a light bar on the roof. Now doing the same thing to my Quey. It will go a lot faster now that I know more about the R50's Looks like you scored something with good bones, good work on the resto. Mrelcocko
Picked up some tail lights off a 99 Pathfinder from my local Pull-A-Part I also got the wiring harnesses too. If you're thinking about updating your tail lights like this you also have to get the wiring harness. 96, 97, 98 and I think some 99 Pathfinders have the same wiring harness. Also in 99 is when they change them correct me if I'm wrong. The wiring harness is plug-and-play it will hook right up. Factory on the left and used one from 99 Pathy on the right. Factory harness on left used one from 99 model on right. The connector for the new harness and the factory are the same. Hope this will help someone if they decided to upgrade there tailights. I also sanded and painted the Wiper arms front and back. Sorry about the picture clarity. Mrelcocko
Death wobbles are no more! Tough job, but can be done with some busted knuckles and a few tears.... In the end I'm happy as a dog with it's bone. J.Cox from Lenoir City, TN
hawairish
Did you replace the arms completely, or just change out the bushings? If the former, got your old arms available?

The lower arm bolts we're stuck in the bushing where it meets the rear end on both sides the arms are beat all to hell man where I was trying to remove them. Not salvageable. arakele
I just wanted to ask about the transfer case on this one. I see it had the standard manual shifter AND a dial. I have only seen one or the other, not a combination of both. I know it's slightly off topic, but does anyone have any insight into this?

I installed it for my own enjoyment. The Pathy is an XE 2WD I upgraded the interior on it. J.Cox from Lenoir City, TN
Mrelcocko
Time to fix the death wobbles. Went ahead and thought might as well replace the shocks while I'm in the vicinity. Mrelcocko
Update on the Qx4 guy's. It's had a miss in it since I got it. It runs great when the motor is cold, but once warm, It would miss, buck, stall and eventually die. Always though would start right back up. Now can't get it started at all. Its not got any fire. Getting fuel with no vacuum leaks that I can see. Rotor spins as well. Maybe bad distributor or camshaft sensor? Gonna replace the distributor and see were it takes me. TO BE CONTINUED...... Mrelcocko
Painted rails and door entry trim piece's. Turned out really well in my book. As for the steps rails the rust got the best of them. Just need to get new tubing and weld it on. Sent from my SM-G530T using Tapatalk Step rails completed. Mrelcocko
Just about finished with the Quey. I've got about a 1,000$ in her. Picked up a factory set of floor mats from a 99 Qx4 from my local pull a part. Can't believe I found a full set. Zero1
Very nice work. I'm curious about the rubber mats. Was there a set available for the Pathfinder as well? I'm not a fan of the generic set I have. Be nice to have a factory set.
2004LEPlatinumNJ4x4
Omg your 98 pathy looks amazing!! 98 is my favorite year, I had a 98 prior to my 04 and it was such a beast!!! I hit a street sign one time in it and destroyed the sign and just the tiniest little dent on the front grill of the pathy 98s are tough as hell, I'm actually looking for one on CL for 500 as well with low miles since I might sell my 04 this fall and buy a newer civic/accord possibly Edited March 17, 2017 by 2004LEPlatinumNJ4x4

I am leaning toward a fuel injector. Idle to 3000rpm is a little bit jumpy and short of full power but 3000rpm and up is smooth and at full power.. When I first got the vehicle I got a cel which was a misfire cylinder #2. Im going to pull a part an injector soon.
