KevinKernaghan
I have a white '95 XE 2WD with all black trim pieces. Ever since I got it, I thought it had a nice police-style kind of image, and advice from a friend left me wondering how neat it might be to have two police spotlights installed, one on each A-Pillar. Has anybody out there performed this install? Any tips or advice? I think it would be an entertaining first modification to my Pathfinder. wheelmanLS1
I'll tell you what... those spotlights being shined on you is the scariest thing ever. It was for me anyways. Wasn't mounted on a cop-car... it was mounted on a cop boat and that spotlight landed on me from across the lake. That's when I knew I was fskced. jj big shoe
How come when I type "a$$" without the dollar signs it comes out "hiney", but this made it through the filter? Must be a past tense thing. That's when I knew I was fskced.
wheelmanLS1
I think when it's past tense it gets through the filter. Let's see (I am a dork for trying to use profanity here) fskced

Mr. Pickles
I wonder if you could hook up a marine style one. My dad has one on the bow of the boat that has a small little joy stick on the dash to control movement up, down, and 360 degrees around.
MaritimeMan
Yes, those are sweet, with the joy stick and all. Most boats are a 12V system so it shouldn't be a problem to hook up at all. The real problem comes in the form of $$$ as they are a boating item, and if you know boats, boats and their toys = big $$$
statikuz
Yeah, might be easier just to do a cop-style one, with the control being just a little stick that manually moves the light around, instead of a slick electronic one with little actuators and whatnot. 88pathoffroad
We used to install those police teardrop spots in our bucket trucks for nighttime work. They're easy as anything to put in, but you have to drill about a 5/8" - 3/4" hole through the front pillar...
