I actually got it from the stillen web site. I thought it would be the same intake as I used on my 300zx, but I noticed it was the JW filter and instructions. You can find it through stillen.com pretty easy. The box is at my work I think, I will check tomorrow for the part number. http://www.stillen.com/product_detail.aspx?sku=402920
  2. It is stated in the accesories catalog as " All w/Bose CD6 & w/o xm sat radio". Im not sure if the model you have is compatible. Check your radio for a SAT button. If you have it, you can install it. IF you dont, you cant.... well kind of. There are always aftermarket universal kits that you can install yourself, and be a heck of a lot cheaper than the factory option. Check Crutchfield.com for some options. Or just search around.

The JW pop-charger has a nipple on the adapter for the filter. That where I plugged mine into.
  4. My brother got a cat back system for his 99 QX4 custom made with stainless and a Magnaflow muffler with dual tips for about $350. sounds pretty good to me.
  5. Yeah, check for a sticker on the diff. Or you can have a little fun and try to do a burnout, or go around a corner and accelerate and see 1 wheel spins your you slide sideways. My SE with power everthing and a 5-speed didnt have a limited slip, but I slipped in a Lockright locker later on. Ever get a pathy on 33's into a full sideways drift and pull out, I have! Very interesting!
  6. I have soaked the window run rubbers with WD-40. I use the application tube to get into the track. Roll the window up and down a couple of times then leave up for a little while. Dirt gets into the track and will scratch against the window and create noise. It works. If its the window regulator making noise, the only lube thats worked for me is the nissan window regulator grease. I have no idea what kind of grease it is, but it works.

  8. Pirates of the Erection? Curse of the black erection? Whoa
  9. I take it the light is on when running? check your charging system and make sure your alternator is working correctly. A loose battery connection may be causing you some problems. Also, since you just changed brakes, double check the master cylinder level sensor(if you have one).
  10. MAC tools! That is one idiot of a company, or at least thier accounting department. They lost my account paper work a incredible 3 times! They have screwed my credit up for almost 6 years. We also cant keep a decent MAC tool guy coming in and knowing his rear end from a hole in the ground. Im sorry if anyone who is a professional wrench who dont like this, but MATCO Tools all the way! They are the best tool company by far. Better salesmen, product and overall quality!!
  11. Welcome! Lets see some pics of her!!!
  12. Pulling out other people with the pathy is fun! My second time out after I lifted it, I pulled my brothers friend, in a 85 F-150, off of some rocks that he got high centered on. A couple of his buddies were in jeeps and they thought there was no way I would be able to pull him, but I did! Hey, got a free case of the frosty brew for it! There is nothing like a confidence boost to help you know your limits!
  13. Hello and welcome from Olympia!
  14. 96-98 pathfinders have a extended warranty on the exhaust manifolds up to 100months/100,000 miles. On your 97, yeah the manifold is probably cracked. You can always take the heat shield off and check for yourself. Everything else is not that hard. As for the engine cleaning, check your throttle body for carbon buildup. You can also clean that yourself.
  15. Well, the first thing to ask your tech is what the pressures were while operating your a\c. If its not blowing cold and you suspect a expansion vavle, do a touch and feel to the a\c lines going to the evaporator. The high pressure side should feel warm, but not hot. The low side should feel cool, but not cold. If the expansion valve is stuck open, it is possible that the evaporator is freezing. The lines would feel abnormally cool. And the exact opposite if it was stuck closed. Turn your a\c on and may sure the compressor is operating, and switching on and off when its supposed to. Check it and let us know.
  16. Thats just a sweet pic! Congrats! Well deserved!
  17. I personally installed that in my 95 pathfinder, my borthers 99 QX4, My 91 300zx, and in my buddies 92 Maxima. Its easy to install with the directions they give you. It sounded pretty good to me because the adapters has adjustments. A heck of a lot cheaper than speakers, amps, wiring and time. That is unless you want something totaly custom and supoer loud!
  18. this is from the crutchfield website. "OEM Amplifier Integration v.4 94-up Nissan/Infiniti Lets you integrate a high-powered aftermarket receiver into select 1994-up Nissans with premium factory systems • compatible with high-power receivers Because your vehicle is factory-equipped with a special sound system, Crutchfield recommends that you purchase an adapter. This adapter eliminates the need for extensive and time-consuming re-wiring when you install your new receiver. In some cases, not using an adapter will make it necessary to replace the entire factory sound system, including the speakers. " I was just trying to help with the "cheaper" route. It sounds pretty good to me in my pathfinder. Just trying to help.
  19. Ok, wait, are your speakers bad? If you are trying to stay on the cheap, just replace the head unit. Go to crutchfield.com and you can purchase a new head unit and it will come free with the new brackets and full instructions to do it yourself. You will need to purchase a harness adapter, which they sell. I installed a panasonic head unit in my brothers 99 QX4 and it was a piece of cake. Now, if you need to replace the speakers, you can always get some speakers and jump passed the amps. I did that on my 91 300zx and it worked perfectly. A new head unit, speakers and amps can get spendy all at once.
  20. Ok, so I have been wondering this for awhile. Has anyone tried to flip the tension rod to the top of the lower control arm? I have been staring at mine trying to figure out a way to reduce the angle and wear that it will eventually create. I thought of flipping it, but wasnt sure what, if any, problems this may or may not create. Hey, its just an idea and I was looking for some possible direction. Anyone have any comments or ideas? Has anyone tried it? All the kick a$$ knowledge on here, I know someone must know something! Thanks guys! sly
  21. O man, were do you start with a question like that. Probably the most needed is fabed sliders, front and rear bumpers! Or headers and exhaust? Or fix some body oopses? The list could be endless.....
  22. Welcome! Yeah, I was going to join and all that stuff, but I notice that the main page never changes, so I wasnt sure what to do. When it looks like things change, I will sign up. But hey, enjoy the site and all the info, best on the web!
  23. Welcome! You might want to try AC's wesite for some stuff for your pathy( 4x4parts.com). They might have what you are looking for. there is also Calmini's website, Purenissan.com, but i dont know if many people use them.
