nycxice13
Ok front meaning, infront of the radiator?
Spolar93
ideally you want to install in this order: 1. in front of ac condenser (100% efficient) 2. between condenser and radiator (70% effcient) 3. behind radiator (55% efficient) i just installed a hayden 405 26,000lb fin/tube motorhome/5th wheel tower cooler. its a beast, half the size of my radiator! im hoping that i wont have to get my trans rebuilt again

88pathoffroad
Don't R50's already have an external cooler? WD21's are the ones with the bad internal cooler design.
lewisnc100
Don't R50's already have an external cooler? Some models had them from 96-98, but stopped in 99.
zonianbrat
Yeah i thinks my 97 has an external cooler in front of the radiator. Does anybody know if these are up-to par or should i look to replace it with an aftermarket cooler in the future? whatever i can do to save the tranny is key. Has anybody had any trouble with the stock tranny cooler??/

lewisnc100
I haven't seen any posts about problems with the Nissan coolers in the 96-98 Pathfinders. My 97 has the Nissan external cooler and I two quite a bit, never had any problems.
