Mr. Pickles
Congrats on the swap finally! And about the hopeful solution to the issues. Let me know when we can go out and break that thin in properly!
RedPath88
Found (literally) a solution for the exhaust fumes in the garage. Today I went to one of my active jobs to check on the status of the other trades (still waiting on them) and while there I peered into generals scrap bins and dumpster and found some flex pipe.. two 5-6ft pieces of about 2in dia. Talked to the General and he had no problem with me taking it (in fact he said "If it's out there and you want it, it's yours" So I snagged it, took it home and test fit it... it's a perfect fit over the stock pipe. However, given that it is electrical flex pipe, it is not air tight. I started the Pathy to see how much it would leak and decided that I would crack the garage doors and place a fan there. Very little leaked out but just enough to be noticeable. So I may get some high temp tape to wrap and seal it... but I think this will work perfectly. Mr. Pickles
Thanks!!... I think There is no think. Only do. Do or do not. If you're thinking of a wrap, maybe a header wrap would do. Of course I must ask, being in Washington as well and all, why not just roll the beast out of the garage for a sec. ????? Is it gonna melt? RedPath88
Well while I was trouble shooting the idle problem and trying different things I had the truck running so the garage would quickly become unfriendly to anything that likes to breath oxygen. Also keep in mind that this was between 12 and 3 in the morning and since I have neighbors right next to my garage and across the alley it is a bit of a courtesy thing. It's also a privacy thing, I live in town and less than a block from most of the bars here so anything I can do to keep eyes out of my garage is a bonus. RedPath88
First off... 3.03in(X2) is a lot further than it sounds! Have everything but some interior panels and the skid plate installed now. The good news is that I road tested it tonight. A short trip around the block then back home to put some PS Fluid in Then on to the gas station, over to my brothers (to get something from his car) and back home About five miles total, had to get the kids home and into bed. Will put a few more on her tomorrow. Plan on keeping it local for a few before venturing out further (need to gain faith )

Casey.T
Isnt that the distance of the bolt sticking above the lock nuts on the T-Bar Adjustment???
RedPath88
Isnt that the distance of the bolt sticking above the lock nuts on the T-Bar Adjustment??? Give the man a cookie!!! Yeah and when turning the bolt it seems a lot further than you think Oh and if that was the stock setting then my rear springs have a lot of sag in them. But I guess that is to be expected with 290,000K on them -thnkboutit- I am about to pull it back into the garage to lower the front a little. After a couple miles of trouble free driving is put on it and the Yota's wheels are ready to be swapped, I will be installing the SuperLift arms and JGCC's... and thus cranking them back up some.
