Look on the bright side Slick... most people only consider themselves poor when they want something that they cannot afford. So, if you stop wanting things, you won't see yourself as being so poor :D

So true Red, so true...

Funny, I want little other than a home, but here in Cali, I'm poor... LOL, I just heard that Sonoma county (where I live) is #3 in the nation for most expensive home ownership (cost VS income) in the US !! I knew it was bad, but not that bad !! Yes, I'm saving $ and plan to get out when the GF finished college in a year or so.

Oh, about the auction... Yes, totally bogus... :D

And the reports I've read say the Seattle metro area is the #1 overpriced place to live (cost of living vs. wages) in the country. We just plain don't have high enough wages, on average, to keep up considering housing costs here are nipping at the heels of Cali. Yet Bill Gates and friends keep stacking up their cash.

But back to the lift, if you could really get it for $600-800 or so, that's really not that bad. I bought in segments, cutting corners, and that's on the low end of the price range all together with UCA's, T bars, shocks, bushings, and JGC springs, etc. But yeah, the auction sounds kinda fishy to me too.
