Eli
Don't you have to send in your ECU to JWT for them to re-work? You'd have no vehicle for a loooong time if that's right. You can do a core exchange (at least you can with Automotive Customizers) so you don't have down time.
Eli
On a side note, has anybody out there ever actually used the Jim Wolf chip swap? Mods at time of swap: Thorley Headers, cone intake, 8mm plug wires. Results after JWT ECU exchange. Better torque above 4800 rpm, i.e. quicker to get out of 2nd gear and into 3rd under full throttle getting on the freeway (i'm talking auto trans, here), and MUCH easier getting out of 3rd and into 4th under full throttle. Basically, I wouldn't trade back to the factory ECU ;-) These motors need all the help you can afford!
Mr. Pickles
These motors need all the help you can afford! Yeah, like a 5sp.
SC88Pathy
I got the following response from www.zcar.com Seeing that the Z31 uses multi-point fuel injection with both group-fire and batch-fire injection modes, I don't see how a Z31 ECU could control a TBFI system correctly. In other words VG30I owners are SOL on this swap, however you VG30E owners might be able to use the ECU...
