Spolar93
i'm trying man, no one is parting out any pathys around here, and the local wrecker wants $40 for a new one. 88, you have a spare or one at the wrecker for cheaper?

88pathoffroad
I can get one, but they're a real PITA to take off in the junkyard when the Pathys are all sitting on the ground with no tires. That's why I did this to mine:
Spolar93
hey hey, that was my idea exactly! i was gonna weld a bead all the way down the side though.... just for kicks, how much is one down there at your yard? and yes, i've been driving on it for a couple weeks now, no weird drivability problems have cropped up. You will warp the control arm. Will the ones off of a 87 fit? I have 2 of them.. just go to my house, talk to my wife and tell her i said you can have them. (i'm back in ohio) But you have to take them off of the axle.
Spolar93
good point, i was planning on just going slowly. are the ones you have the tubular or the dogbone-style? me driving up north wont likely be hanppening, especially with this problem. i'm all the way down in the SW, right north of portland in vancouver. Mr. Pickles
Hey 87Pathy, so they're on your old axle that is out of your truck? Do you need a puller or something, or do they just come off when you pull the bolt? The reason being, I'm heading down to Longview this weekend (about 40 miles north of Vancouver) to visit family. If needed, and you warn you wife so she doesn't shoot me when I show up for parts , I could swing by and grab them after work, then meet Spolar in Longview (I drive down 100+ miles, you drive the last 40 to meet me). Anyways, just a thought. If it works for you guys, PM me in case I forget to check this thread. -Mike P.S. Good job on the carnage. I'm amazed you could do that and NOT know it.
