Differences in Engines

I may just swap motors to fix my problem, it looks like i may be keeping my truck longer than i had anticipated, and i have an oppurtunity to buy a motor from a 95.

 

Are there any differences between the two? 93/94 is when changes to the steering, body and interior were made, but was anything changed under the hood to anyone's knowledge?

nope. 90-95 were the same.. except in 90 they still had the VG30i motors in some pathys... everything is the same there except a few things on the intake

I think the only differences fall wiothin the emission systems. As long as you are retaining all the little crap, swapping the big crap should work fine

Timing blet is different... 95 has rounded teeth, the 94 and older are square teeth.

for the most part they are the same.. minor difference like folks above said. at the outo parts store they said either t-belt would work on my 94.

Don't listen to your autoparts store. Also, the round tooth timing belt is rated for a longer interval for replacement.
