I'm new to the whole 4wheel drive stuff. I was reading in one of my off road mag's and they were mentioning that a NP205 transfer case is one of the toughest transfer cases out there. I'm planning on dropping a 350 small block in the Pathy. I already have a 350 tranny, but wanting to get a stronger transfer case and cheaper this way instead of paying the $750.00 for the adapter from AC. I just had a guy mention to me that I would be wanting a 208, which he has one for $200. Is this guy feeding me a bunch of crap or what?

Thanks for all your input everyone! :aok:

Thanks Slick & Thunder! I've read and been told that the 205's are bullet proof. Small is what I need with what little or tight space we have under the Pathy's. What would shipping run on something like that? Would having it trucked or something like that be cheaper than UPS?

Thanks again you two!

having it shipped onna truck would be cheaper.. we have a depot in stockton we could drop it at.... shipping would prolly cost you (i can't remember your location) around $75-$100. I had an 8.8 rear end shipped to me onna pallet from Nebraska for $165, and it still cost me less than buying one here in CA :D

lemme see if i can dig up a pic of my beautiful 205 .. nah.. no pics of the tcase.. i could take some pics of what we've got today tho... i sold my 205 to dave's bro for $125.. but we have others... or maybe he'd be willing to sell mine back to me...

i'll take pics of a few of the 205's we have. if you are doing hardcore wheelin, then a 205 would be best. if it's just weekend warrior sorta stuff, you could get away with a 203. i'll take pics.

my email is pathy4x4@yahoo.com :aok:
