Timing Belt.

Something someone is telling me about the studs or something, I know they had them called back for this but that was a while ago and it is too late for me to do that and I need to fix whatever that problem is.

Alternator, it just make a noise and a new one would be nice.

My Speedometer craps out sometimes.

The popping and screeching noise that I get when I hit a bump and I am turning.

That is all I can think of for now.

Just any case you have any suggestions or help and in case you didn't know I've got a '95 XE.

let's see... If you do your timing belt, go ahead and replace your water pump, thermostat and cam seals too. Theya re all right there and it is a bitch to get to so why tear it apart more than you have to?

The broken stud issues were never OFFICIALLY a recall (I believe) or they had a 100k mike cutoff. Some folks bitched loud enough and got them covered. Call a few dealers and see if any are willing to play ball and cover the job.

If you're gonna replace the alternator, consider a higher output one from a Quest. Junkyard item.

Speedometer crapping out may be an electrical ground issue. Back in the olden days, they used to actually have a spedometer cable in cars. No more. It's all electronic and sometimes a short or bad ground can cause flakey results.

Crunching while turning is an easy one. Grease your stops.

for the popping its either the stops as mentioned above or torque up the lower arm bolts.

its in the faq in the garage i think.

if your doing a timing belt, you would be silly to not do the watrer pump, unless you have only just replaced it anyway. - as mentioned above

Don't worry about hi-output alternators or anything.. It's a headache that you don't need unless you actually need the extra amperage which you don't.

If the alternator is making noises it's probably the main bearing. Take the alternator apart (it's extremely simple) and take the bearing out and go with it to a bearing shop. It's a standard bearing that will cost you about $10. When you have the alternator apart you can take a look at the brushes to see if there is still some life in them...
