Black Panther skidplates are on my truck!

So yesterday my set of Black Panther skidplates came in. I got the complete set. Engine/Tranny, T-Case, and Front skidplate. Comes with all new grade 10.9 bolts for mounting. The first two plates were powdercoated, the Front plate was unfinished so I could have painted it red for maximum bling factor. Also as noted by a friend it allows me to mark my territory by leaving red gashes on rocks. :D

The plates are beautiful... I mean they're insane... 3/16" thick, laser cut... powdercoating is first rate.

Here are the T-Case on left and Engine/Tranny plates on the right.

As here you can also see the sexy red paint on the Front skidplate.

Here they are after we just installed them with Raff (frwinks). It took us only 20-30 minutes at the most. It was so easy.... Only two holes had to be drilled, the rest was bolt on.

The very cool rockwashers weren't ready in time but I will be receiving them shortly.

Right on !! Congrats on the score !! While I have not seen them 1st hand, I work in the metal trade and can tell quite a bit from the photos. I've said it before and I'll say it again, He does FINE work !! One question, what do they weigh ?? Don't tell me 'I don't know'. Pick them up and use a bathroom scale then subtract... :D

Anywho, nice skids, but I must say I'm a tad disturbed (ha ha ok shutup) by some of those pics. But then again none of us on here are really all that sane.

FL, man I'm not trying to rain on your parade because your plates look very stout and they should take a good pounding but if you didn't block a back wheel when you got your rig on those ramps ... The parking brakes on these things are marginal at best. I just don't want to hear of a fellow board member being injuried needlessly.

Afterall who then would be our resident thread liberian. Any time someone is looking for a topic, you're all over it! Sorry if I'm sounding like a prude it's just my Risk Management background coming out.

Nice stuff Luker...

I think Raff was breathing in a little TOO deeply when you were painting???!!!

As for chocking the wheel, read MWS' story in depreciation alley...

Nice Luker. Very Nice. I'm Jealous as usual you Rat Bastard. You have All the toys.  :takebow: The longer I own mine it seems the more stuff is breaking, not being added on. I was thinking of adding the new Break-O-Meter I invented a little while ago. It's like the Trip Button function but it counts Down. It's pretty decent cause when it hits ZERO you get Stranded and thats the Exciting part of course cause you know that means.... Time for an Upgrade.  :contract: :aok::clap: Except I can't seem to make them count longer then 999 kms. I'll make you one up special with a NEON Rim around the Dial and some Techno Dance Music that starts to play on the last 10 km count down. Free of charge man.
