Guest thebestskibum
has anyone ever compared the 350z motor to the 1999.5-2004 finder motor? i have been looking at some pics and the only things i see diffrent are the intake and maybe the oil pan. but i was thinking maybe the compression ratios could be diffrent. does anyone know??? if they are basicly the same that means we could be using supercharger/ turbo kits for our pathys. has anyone else thought about this or am i just crazy :Magic: ??? Filthy Luker
You can check out most of the specs here: http://www.nissannews.com I'd assume it would be easier to fit a supercharger rather than a turbo due to room restrictions. Anything can be done for the right amount of money. Edited October 31, 2005 by Filthy Luker
Guest jive1414
On that same note... Would I be safe in assuming that a MAF (mass air flow sensor) from a 2002 350z will work in my 2001 pathy since they are both running the VQ35? The reason I ask is, the infamous "Service Engine Soon" light is on and this time the code says it is a bad MAF sensor. The dealership wants $1,300 to order and install a new one! I found a used one from a 350z for sale online for a heck of a lot cheaper than that.
maximusnt
You're dealership is bending you over... I have an '02 pathy, and killed my MAF sensor... I purchased it for around $250 new from the dealer and installed it myself. It's 4 screws, very easy to do.
vengeful
I agree with Maximus....your dealership is giving you the royal shaft. Find another dealership.
IndianRider
$1300 for a MAF sensor replaced at the dealer ? can dealerships be that &^%*@$# ruthless ?? :furious: i think once u buy ur MAF sensor for a lot cheaper and replace it in like less than 2 minutes u can call them and give them the royal shaft just because u felt like it .. nissandoms47
just put the 350z engine in the path and that would suit me just fine. -alex
