LE/SE or XE

Just wondering which finder is the way to go? Does the limited slip and adjustable shock absorbers make the SE any better off road?

My XE has LSD, I think it was a separate option - not an option.

 

If your talking about a 90's pathy the shocks, adjustable or not are prolly garbage by now.

 

The LSD is definatly worth looking into though.

I can't really say about the LSD, as i've never driven an open diff pathy, but mine does pretty darn good in the mud and whatnot.

 

As previously, said, its VERY unlikly the adjustable shocks are still working... or are even in there still.

Don't forget that if you get a LE it has LSD and rear disc brakes.... :cool2:

Most SE's have LSD and disc rear too. You could get both those things on any model as an option, though. I guess you need to start looking at Pathys in person, eh?

I just remembered that the LE's also have heated tilting seats.(I'm talking about the seat tilting not the backrest)

Can't forget the fancy power antenna, and the nice rims.

My 93 SE has Limited Slip, 4 wheel disc and adjustable shocks that still work perfect. I put new Nissan OEM shocks on a few years ago because the old ones were leaking but the system still worked so I went with the adjustable again. 267,000 miles and the system still works. They help a lot off road but not something you have to have.

Another thing to remember, you can easily add a cheap locker to the open diff. The LSD's are going to require an ARB....

yep i have a 95 se, with working shocks, and lsd, i still get stuck, id rather get he se with open and disc, if you could ? thatd be a special order>? with cheese on top?

I like my XEs. I hate power options (windows, locks etc), just something else to break.

I totally agree GG, except my XE had power windows/locks/mirrors !!!

One on the reasons I jumped on this one as that was the lowest trim I could find !! And the lowest miles...

AC is about the only thing I wanted/needed in mine. I like simple and basic.

that said, you still gotta love having remote start in the mornings when you can't walk to your truck cuz ur in the shower! haha it works well and without the power locks it would have been a lot more expensive

The previous owner of my 93 installed a remote start on it. More so nice in the winter to pre-heat everything.
