New dash into older Pathy.

I have the parts all ready to do it in my 88, I grabbed the guage cluster and wire connectors out of a 93, but haven't found the down time available for it. The later model guage clusters use 3, 12 pin connectors and the older ones use 3, 10 pin connectors so all the wires need to be spliced into a set of connectors that match the guage cluster, not to mention the wire groupings are also different for those connectors. Not sure about Oz models, but the US models changed over in 94 to a different dash and guage setup, so here 93 is the newest that would fit.

Ditto. I have a gauge set from a '90 about ready to go in with blue backlit LED lights and white LED-lit needles. My old ones are all orange and black and dated-looking. :D

Are you planning just to change the cluster? If so, will it fit into the old dash?

What size are the backlight bulbs in the gauge cluster? What size are the bulbs for the needles? And can you change the turn indicators (the ones that blink green) into a different color?

There are four 194 backlight bulbs that also feed light to the needles, I custom-fabbed LED's into place behind the needles in mine. The T/S bulbs are already clear, you'd have to change the green plastic arrows in front of them to make them different color.

So you want the whole new dash?

One problem you would have with the guages then is the speedos are electronic in 94+ models.

Thats fine. I have an electronic speed sender on the box already (it tells the ECU that the car is moving??) and the tacho (4 cyl) is not compatible with the EFI V6 anyway. I should be able to customise the Holden speedo and tacho into the 94 cluster. They are very similar in shape.

It will just give the car a newer, fresher look and a little bit more style.

So, no one has done this yet?
