Clutch cost

Recommended Posts

Howdy, I'm getting consistent quotes of $1,000 for a new clutch for my R50 XE 5-spd.  Seems high but everyone tells me it's not.
What are your thoughts?  Thanks, John Parsons, Idaho Falls

I was offered eight or nine hundred to put a clutch in an old Yota a few years back. I was surprised too, but I'm sure it was less than a proper mechanic had quoted him to do the job. Especially if the mechanic had seen the truck!

@IdahoFalls, I paid $850.00 about 3 years ago here in Las Vegas to have my clutch replaced, but this was the cost of labor only, since I provided my own parts. With parts included, it would have cost me $1050. I should also mention that my R50 is 4WD. If your R50 is also 4WD and this is the quote you received with parts included, I would say this is a fair price. I hope this information helps.

Chris.
