Hi all,

I have searched in the forum but not able to find a relevant thread.

I am replacing the ball joints on my 2001 pathfinder xe.

Which brand is preferred by the community here?

Thanks

I don’t think there is a preferred brand. Any ball joint will be fine.

I too echo the same as R50JR, changed mine out about 7 months ago with some of the cheapest ones I could find on RockAuto, and I haven't had any issues.

Hello. From my research, Sankei 555 may be the better brand. Made in Japan, but a bit more expensive compared to others. The other day i was looking on RockAuto, and the ACDELCO ball joint was a 555. Have a look.

Ive had the Sankei brand ball joints on my R50 for several years now (probably going onto 8 years) and have not had any issues.

If rust is an issue for you (perhaps not if you're in Orange County) I do not recommend the NAPA Proformer line (#PFC 104379).  One winter in western Canada and mounting plate and fasteners corroded beyond belief.  Redoing the front end now and had to order a new set.
