MrSoul
Hello there, long time lurker, first time poster. I was hoping someone could help me identify the part shown in the attached picture. Skid bar? I'm not sure. The passenger bar has a hole due to rust and needs replacing/repair. The problem is I don't know what to search for. How important is it? I apologize if it's a silly question. P.S. The picture is for demonstration and not my pathfinder
XPLORx4
That part is simply a metal brace to provide backup support for the splash guard. It's not terribly important if you choose to remove it, and it's probably preferable to replace the splash guard and the brace with a genuine skid plate such as this one: https://sfcreation.com/products/front-skidplate-14-aluminium 2
MrSoul
Makes sense. Thank you so much for the info. I was thinking about getting a skid plate and thought that this brace needed to stay there.
RainGoat
Another skid plate option is Coastal Offroad though I’d check to be sure it fits an OEM bumper. https://www.coastaloffroad.com/product-page/r50-nissan-pathfinder-high-clearance-front-bumper-kit
BamaQX402
I believe it's called a steering rack guard. Mine *was* missing, but soon to be replaced with a real skid plates!
