Hey guys,

I got a 02 se and just bought it so I don’t know much about it! First Nissan I’ve owned and trying to learn the vehicle hoping you guys might have some ideas! Most of the time she fires up right away, but sometimes I’ll turn the key and nothing so keep turning off and on and eventually she starts some times half hour sometimes 5 min. 
 Any thoughts on where to start diagnoses? 
anyone have this problem?

Does the security light turn on when you are trying to start and it is acting up? Just one of the possibilities. 

More likely a worn ignition switch though. I have seen a lot of bad ignition switches in older Nissans. 

You might want to check and make sure the battery terminals are clean and tight.
