3rd row?

I obviously don't know much about this series Pathfinder, but did it ever have a 3rd row option?

I don't believe so. I saw a picture of one with rear facing 3rd row once on the Facebook page, but it seemed custom. Nobody was sure because it was found in a junkyard.

No, the R50 never had a factory or dealer-installed option for a 3rd row.

The vehicles I've seen with third-row seats have fairly flat floors. My WD21 certainly doesn't have a flat floor, and I'm pretty sure the R50s don't either--the cargo area floor is higher than the front footwells (and has to be to clear the suspension etc). You'd have to either cut holes in the roof for your passengers' heads to stick out or drop the seats and have no legroom. Lt. Dan might not mind, but then you've gotta figure out how to get him in there, and where to put the wheelchair now that the back's full.

 

That said, a rear-facing bench seat could be great for tailgating.
