95 Ford F250/350 rear lift shock upgrade

I was wondering if folks using the Monroe Monro-Matic Plus shock (the cheapy blue shocks PN ) could post their reviews about them. I can get a pair for the rear for the price of 1 Rancho RS55112 shock. I have no shocks right now and I need to get the truck Road worthy ASAP to pass inspection.

I found them way too soft in the front. Rode like an old Buick from the 70s. Not sure about you but I like a firmer ride so I went with the ranchos.

The set of cheapie Monroe's I had on my 720 lasted maybe 8k miles.

I ran through a pair of Monroe shocks in about 3 months/ 6k miles on and off road. They rode super soft and we're almost unsafe at times especially under hard/ emergency braking. They were comfortable on smooth road but anything other than that I despised them. I got them for Christmas so I couldn't really say no to them though.

Thanks for the reviews guys. I'll shell out some more for better shocks. I'm currently running bilstein 5125 12" shocks up front and had rancho 9116 shocks in the rear.

Just as an option if money is an issue, there's a set of skyjacker hydro shocks (2"-4" of lift) on ebay for $200. I'm not sure how much you're lifted though but that might possibly save you some money. Here's a link to them if you'd like to take a peek at them.

Thanks for the suggestion. It's a little too much for what I need.

 

I'm going to educated myself some more regarding valving and load and see if I can find something close to my needs.
