Sliderslider
Checked resistance and i have 2 that are mega ohms not like the other kil ohms, ive read that a zero reading indicates a bad coil but does the that big of difference indicate bad coils too? jyeager
I didn't know the R50 had ignition coils (plural). Thought it was a distributor ignition with just 1 coil.
hawairish
True for the 3.3L, but he's got the 3.5L, which uses individual coil packs. Sliderslider, are two with M ohms a different brand by chance? Not sure if it makes a difference, and in the FSM, I only see that a 0-ohm reading is no-good; everything else is ok. Slartibartfast
Did you write down the readings? Not sure of the specs but I would be suspicious of a reading that far out. A reading of zero would mean a dead short, and resistance that high sounds like it's just about an open circuit, and that's not good either.
