InfamousDerrick
Got my R50 about 2 months ago. Already started on it. Even have my wheels and tires ready to pick up this weekend. Bought it with 70k Miles. Here it is stock height.

mjotrainbrain
That's a nice looking Pathfinder! What brand is the lift?
InfamousDerrick
These spacers are from supreme suspension. They are pretty hefty.
mjotrainbrain
Hm, never heard of it before. I guess I'll look it up! I look forward to seeing your Pathfinder progress.
InfamousDerrick
Got them on eBay. They have different size variations. I got 2" front and 2.5" rear.
hawairish
What's the material? Amazingly, I think I've seen 2-3 new vendors selling spacers in the past couple months.
InfamousDerrick
Yeah a lot of people make them that I have seen. These are powder coated steel.

InfamousDerrick
Also I see that you have a 2004, is it just me or does having the last year make it more of a pain in the ass to get parts. Even my last truck was a hardbody and it was the last year a 97 as well and i always had to make sure i was getting the right stuff.
hawairish
Powder coated steel? Sure they're not aluminum? Magnet test? I don't seem to run into any problems having a 2004, to be honest. I mean, nothing's ever available locally if you that's what you mean, but I get everything from RA without issue (noting that RA mingles parts from the 2004 Pathfinder Armada). I've gotten to the point where I'm stockpiling replacement parts. But then again, my truck will eventually be a frankenstein from other Nissan parts, then it'll get interesting. Love that burgundy color, btw. Good luck on things!
DanF.
Nice truck. Be extra careful ordering from RockAuto. Some parts listed on their site for R50 2004 Nissan Pathfinders are actually for TA60 2004 Nissan Pathfinder Armada. I just went through this issue with ordering wheel bearing parts from them. They list the SKUs or part numbers from their vendors, and go by what is provided from the parts manufacturers, in this case, Timken.
DanF.
Yeah a lot of people make them that I have seen. These are powder coated steel. This is direct from their eBay listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-SUSPENSION-FITS-NISSAN-PATHFINDER-INFINITI-QX4-1996-2004-R50-LIFT-KIT-NEW-/272320699207?fits=Make%3ANissan&hash=item3f67941b47:g:0a0AAOSwQJ5USa3H&vxp=mtr Says they are urethane. Still, they will work just fine. Description: Up for sale is a coil and strut spacer lift kit that will lift your vehicle a full 2" all around. These are made to fit 1996-2004 Nissan Pathfinders and Infiniti QX4s. This vehicle is called a R50 platform. THEY WILL NOT FIT VEHICLES WITH AIR RIDE SUSPENSIONS! This kit includes: 2 - 1.5" strut spacers for the front coilover struts with 6 bolts and lock nuts, along with 2 - 2" coil spacers for the rear springs. THIS IS NOT A BODY LIFT IN ANY WAY! This is a suspension lift kit and will not effect steering, brakes or fuel lines in any way. All parts are made from cast urethane. This material is used to make tooling for the foundry industry. They are extremely durable & will not crush or deform at all like some softer spacer lifts on the market. The coil spacers have a 1" tall alignment flange to properly locate the spacer with the spring. The rear coil spacers go on top of the spring, over the spring post. The strut spacers go on top of the factory strut mount to lower the mount 1.5". The coil spacers simply install over the upper spring post and the springs are put back into place. The factory strut-mounting studs will need to be driven or drilled out and the longer supplied bolts and lock nuts hold the strut spacer and factory mount into place. They are all dimensionally consistent as they are cast from a master set of molds, not machined or cut by hand. All edges are smooth, and personally inspected by me. The color runs completely through the parts. They are not painted and will not fade. You will need to lengthen/replace the rear shocks. KYB #KG4163 is a good shock to use. Frequently asked questions: Why 1.5” spacers in front and 2” in the rear? - The 1.5” spacers in front will give you a full 2+” of lift due to the suspension angles of the independent front end. You can use 2” spacers up front but the front will sit higher and the CV shafts will be subjected to severe angles thus wearing faster. The 2” spacers in the rear give you exactly that, 2” of lift due to the straight axle design. 95% of my customers use the combo setup and love it. What size tires can I use when I use these spacers? - Tire size depends on a lot of things. Will you cut/trim the fenders? Will you use factory rims or aftermarket? The black Pathfinder in the picture is running this kit and LT245/75/16" tires. If you want to trim the fenders a lot and crank out the steering stops so they do not rub the frame you could run a larger tire. How hard are they to install? - Anyone who has some mechanical ability should be able to easily install this kit in a few hrs. Why pay hundreds of dollars more for other lifts when for under $200 you can gain a full 2” of lift giving you more ground clearance and allowing the use of larger more aggressive tires???? The addition of this lift transforms these little SUV's into a worthy on or off-road rig.
InfamousDerrick
Nope that is not them if you look at the pics. The actual kit isn't on ebay at the moment but here is a link to a rear lift from them. http://www.ebay.com/itm/FITS-1996-2004-Nissan-Pathfinder-Infiniti-QX4-2-Rear-Lift-Leveling-Kit-/262349700486?hash=item3d1542bd86:g:wEcAAOSwz2lXDLoi That are in fact aluminum. I don't know where steel came from in my head. Probably from the weight of them.

InfamousDerrick
Finally got the wheels on. Still waiting on my black lug nuts to come in and the open center caps for the front. Warn Premium Hubs Part #29091 American racing Baha 16" x 8" BFG KO2 265/75 (31s) I did a small flex test today and they still don't rub in the rear. I did have to pull the front plastics and trim the slightest piece on the front bumper, you'll never tell. Now i have the full turning radius. InfamousDerrick
Didn't get enough grab with regular lug nuts so I grabbed some E/T splined lug nuts, worked great.
Stpickens
I have been wondering how the fuel mileage and behavior is after installing the bfg atko2's. I can't decide on the 31's or play it safe with the 30's. Nice build by the way.
InfamousDerrick
Thanks Stpickens, It's hard to tell with the tires as i also installed hubs at the same time. I am still trying to get accurate trips to tell if i am saving. It seems like the hubs cancel out any worse mileage coming from the tires.
