95 Pathfinder Dimmer switch bypass -Which Wires?

Hey I am trying to bypass a faulty dimmer switch , no lights in the dash . Anyone know which wires go where?

Brake lights work? Check your fuses? a faulty or shorted illumination (wire for radio for aftermarket kits) will blow a fuse.

You could pop the switch out and bypass the switch to test.

Brake lights work but no tail-lights. stock deck.

Tail lights don't go through the dimmer switch. Do your front corner lights work? Could be the circuit that does your corners/tails isn't working.

 

I don't remember which wires are which on the dimmer, but the dash illumination wires are pink with a different color of stripe for +/-, if that helps.

Yeah, I cooked a fuse but was able to figure out which wires to connect to get the lights to stay on , im gonna leave it always on vs paying for a new dimmer. I only paid $850 for my Pathy.

Why not go to the junkyard and get a new one. Then it is fixed "properly" and you can dim the lights.

Or you could spend $7 at The Source for a variable potentiometer and 3 minutes installing it.
