You can rebuild them with weld. Make sure to take those old sleeves off first though.

Hahaha, yeah after a dozen Budweiser I'm none the wiser but at least I can salvage the rod... I'm going to get some anti seize inside that sleeve too to ensure I can remove it again...

For starters they are about 70 dollars each up here. I did end up buying new but only because I snapped one and spent like 200 dollars at nissan getting all the parts...

I see them occasionally on eBay for about 50 bucks.

 

I've always wondered about how to improve the design of the rod to reduce wear. But I think most of the problem stems from neglect. Haven't figured out a better way to do it though.

Yeah it seems like you can't go by looking at the bushing itself cause the damage starts in the sleve
