Hey everyone ive just joined npora being looking around a bit at the info on here and its been great.

Bought my first 4x4 a couple of months ago and im loving it.

Its a 94 Terrano 2.7 Turbo Diesel.

Went 4 Wheeling Last week for the first time and i loved it and the Nissan blitzed the muddy conditions, my mate took some pics ill post them as soon as i getem.

Just curious what sort of lift i can get from cranking up the front torsion bars, and my mates suggested getting the rear springs streched and retensioned to match.

Whata u recon...? P...

Welcome to NPORA. Try looking in the "garage", there's threads pinned there at the top regarding various ways to lift your Terrano and what to expect as far as difficulty, etc. A search will result in a lot more posts on the subject as well. One of the most popular ways to bring the rear up is to swap in slightly modified Jeep Grand Cherokee front springs (have to be from one with a V8). I don't know how readily available they are where you're at, though. Ford (F-150, I think) springs have been used as well, but with mixed results.

About the most you can get up front without changing the upper control arms (UCA's) to aftermarket ones will be about +/- 2" to 2 1/2" or so. Beyond that you run into problems with ball joint angles, alignment problems, etc. ~ new UCA's are designed to aleviate that.

Any questions? Post away, that's what it's all about... :type:

Quick correction: aftermarket UCA's only correct balljoint angles, not CV angles.

Same thing, different wording...cv's were never mentioned. ;)
