skips01pf
Ok...newbie here, and I'm gonna ask it...what do these monikers refer to? Thanks, Skip
nunya
Chassis code. It's how we seperate all the different generations of Pathfinder. Each redesign is designated a new chassis code (not including facelifts through a generation).
skips01pf
Thanks, so a 2001 4 door LE is an R50?
Nefarious
Correct, that would be a second generation r 50. Got the updated 3.5 litre v6 with moh powah! Also updated front end body work and other various bits...
skips01pf
Sweet...thanks nef, trying to learn more about my new (to me) ride. I'm sure I'll have more dumb questions as time goes by
gv280z
I like the wider, deeper set rims on the later model R50s, which I don't really see a lot of very often...hmmm...see if I can find a pic... I think this is what I'm thinking of: This is actually a 2002 model, but I just love the overall *look* of it. SpecialWarr
Those are chassis codes? I thought they were Maximum speed in Reverse (50...mph?) and the Width of the Driving circle ( 21 miles)!!
Nefarious
Wd21 only have crappy turning radius with the long steering stops. Seriously one of the best mods for wheeling tight trails is to swap the short steering stops in from a 'small tire package' truck. It turns about as sharp as a car after! Just need to have wheel spacers or lower offset rims so the tires don't rub the frame.
