kefferjoe
So fan clutch sheared off and along with it came the fan pulley. I'm new to the 3.5L engines so i have no idea what needs to be replaced. I know the fan clutch but the pulley confuses me....it looks like it isn't attached to the water pump (which is good) but where do i get this part? And how long does it take to replace? I cant find it on autozone.com nor can i find much info on it online.
ferrariowner123
How the heck did is shear off? Pics are a must on this one. But head the services section. Go to the genuine parts thread. Rob runs that thread and provides deals on OEM Nissan parts, he can get what you need. And if the fan didn't break, there is a savings for you. But yeah, post pics to know what exactly broke... -Kyle
Alkorahil
Holy cow! 21060-6P00A FAN, COOLING $98.60 21082-6P00A COUPLING, FAN $148.29 21051-4P110 PULLEY-FAN $43.80 21046-4W000 BRACKET-FAN $71.76 08226-62010 STUD, PULLY QTY NEEDED: 4 $1.24 EA 01225-00751 NUT, PULLEY QTY NEEDED: 4 $0.76 EA I priced everything as I am not sure what sheered/broke in the process. I think you may have had the fan pully bracket spindle break. Take a close look and see it thats where it came apart. I have seen that happen once or twice on vehicles here. This didnt damage your radiator or belts as well did it? , Edited February 17, 2014 by Alkorahil
Karmann
As above, and get yourself a Chilton/Haynes manual to explain the process among other things on your rig
