gearhead141
This is on an '88 Pathfinder SE with 5spd trans. I don't know if this is factory or aftermarket. Perhaps somebody out there has seen this before.
Kyle94
Looks after market for sure. Not sure what it is though. Lol.
5523Pathfinder
Looks like a alarm harness to me. Defiantly aftermarket.
Trogdor636
Does it look like you can slide something into it? Those keyed ignition security deals were pretty much the rage in the late 80's-early 90's.

nunya
Don't have nor do I remember seeing anything of the likes when I had the dash out of my truck for the interior color swap
ahardb0dy
It looks like the harness for an alarm brain, most installers would tuck the brain up under the dash near that location. Does that metal toggle switch above and right of the fuse panel control anything? That looks like the bypass switch for an aftermarket alarm system. Is the red or Yellow wire on that plug larger than the rest of the wires? If so it could be the wire that goes to the ignition kill and it would be a larger gauge of wire. Have you dropped the panel under the steering column to see where the wires going to that white plug go too?

gearhead141
It's not near me. I just got the photo and was hoping to get some insight from those of you out there who have spent time working on these trucks. I did notice that toggle switch and maybe it's part of the system as well. I'm sure my Son's girlfriend has no idea what it is as this is the way she received it. I appreciate your feedback.
