where did you mount your hi-lit jack?

Where did you get the mount and what size is your jack

 

 

 

 

Made it from scrap metal. Jack is 48".

Mine fits under the rear seats perfectly where the factory bottle jack was I believe mines a 42 inch jack

 

I only keep it under the rear seats in the winter and rainy months. I googled home made high lift mounts and found a jeep guy and copied his roof rack mount

I used 2 "quick fists" to attach it to my Yakima rack. IIRC they are intended for mounting fire extinguishers (and the like) but I liked the price difference compared to the Yakima rack attachment:

I didn't like having it on the roof rack, I couldn't quite fit it under the rear seat without getting rid of the factory jack. I was left mounting it on the back or the front bumper, I chose the front because I (and more importantly the family) access the back hatch area almost constantly throughout our trips and didn't want anyone injuring themselves.

 

Then I tested it on my recent trip to Moab and back, worked fantastic!

How do y'all keep it secured from theft? My truck is parked in the condo's lot.

Mine has a Steel Cable threaded through the jack eyes and around my grill guard. In the end it only keeps honest people honest though
