Balln
Im going to install my oil pressure guage tomorrow and was wondering about how to wire up the light. What im wanting to know is it ok if i run a jumper wire off one of the wires from my light dimmer switch? That way it can be adjusted or should i find another wire behind the dash? and if i do will it mess anything up? I just dont want to FUBAR my truck up with such a simple little light bulb. Thanks Guys
RedPath88
Yes, the minimal draw an extra light is going to add will not be a problem. That's how I wired in my clino in the Pathy and how I have added gauges to other vehicles, like my Toyota. Just be sure to test and be sure you have is suitable wire before you connect the gauge to it.
Slartibartfast
I've run several positive leads from an empty relay slot above the fuse box. Runs my fog lights and driving lights with no issues, and takes a standard spade connector.
