np123
My hubs are trashed as well as the wheel bearings. Any recomendations as to what hub to replace the stocks with? Or are the stock hubs good enuff and should keep running them, well new ones at least lol? I wanna keep the shift on the fly style hubs
NissanNismoZ
Actually, replacing the front wheel bearings is extremely easy. I replaced mine when i redid my front braking system... Just remove the auto hub and the entire assembly is inside. Be sure to use plenty of high-temp grease! To remove the plate holding the assembly and bearings in place i just used a screwdriver and hammer..and the fool-proof to that is if you dont get the torque right, the assembly wont sit in. Good luck! Most trail users replace their auto hubs with Mile Marker or WARN manual hubs. Honestly the stock hubs have gotten me out of some tough situations that make jeeps cry! Just make sure you properly engage/disengage them and all should be well. Edited May 15, 2012 by NissanNismoZ
wayneoR3M
whats the process for makin sure i get the auto hubs to sit in ???
NissanNismoZ
The hubs wont seat unless you get everything lined up for that end clamp to seat on the axle. Once you get the little end clamp on the hubs will bolt right back on.

Precise1
I highly recommend re-checking the bearing play in a few hundred miles(kilometers) as I found mine had settled in a bit and loosened up slightly. B
