Pathy
When ever i roll off the curb of my drive way or go over a speed bump at regular speed, i hear a huge grinding noise coming from the front left tire. I checked to make sure the tire wasnt rubbing the fender and thats not it, also when i bounce that corner by pushing down on it, it doesnt make any sound at all. Im trying to figure out if its a bushing or something like that. Second problem is a lot of sqeaky noises coming from the fan belt area, i cant really pin point it, would replacing the fan belt maybe fix this? 88pathoffroad
Dunno about the nasty noise, but the squeaky noise is either a belt, an accessory pulley, or your idler pulley for the AC. Are you making a turn when you hear the noise? Try to narrow it down a little...
k9sar
get someone to bounce yor front end while you have your head under the fender. You may be able to figure out the 'grinding'. As for belts, inspect them to see if the v-belt is shiney on the sides that hit the pulleys. If they are, or if they're cracked, replace them. If the belts look fine, it may be a pulley going bad.
