  1. SO i was just driven normally when my brake light and a/t light came on, so i didnt think anything of it and then i looked down and my temp guage was maxed out. I thought it had to be a malfunction an electrical problem or something but i was wrong, before i could get home lots of steam came out my radiator resvior. Kinda of freaked me out, any suggestions. I just replaced the cluth fan and all hoses 4 months ago.

    Two problems

    When ever i roll off the curb of my drive way or go over a speed bump at regular speed, i hear a huge grinding noise coming from the front left tire. I checked to make sure the tire wasnt rubbing the fender and thats not it, also when i bounce that corner by pushing down on it, it doesnt make any sound at all. Im trying to figure out if its a bushing or something like that. Second problem is a lot of sqeaky noises coming from the fan belt area, i cant really pin point it, would replacing the fan belt maybe fix this?
  3. Thanks guys, i didnt know how easy it was to check the ecu, turns out to be that stupid o2 sensor, well i feel better now that i know.
  4. would a temporary vacuum leak cause the ecu to mess up everything? cuz the seal on my intake blew so i pulled over and duck taped it, then it was fine after that.
  5. My engine light has been coming on, on and off for 2 months, i have a perfectly fine idle, but sometimes after it warms up the acceleration feels a little sluggish but even when it warms up it is still a perfectly fine idle, im leaning toward o2 senser correct me if im wrong.
  6. i just used longer screws on the door, and even though speaker didnt fit into that plastic holder thing i just screwed the speaker into it, and it fit perfectly back into the door, dynamate is a must around the inside of the plastic part that touches the speaker.

This might be a extremely stupid question but is the stock at cooler external or internal, im trying to figure out if mine is aftermarket or stock, its pretty lengthy and long, ive only had my Pathfinder for 4 months so i dont know what the previous owner did, and also it supposively has 144,000 on the orignal
  8. Did u use the thermal seal on the broken stud? Does it like dry inbetween the gap the stud makes, ide like to know more about this keep me posted on u did it.
  9. ive had a passenger side manifold leak for about a month now, my question is... My leak goes away after about 2 to 5 min of driving, does that mean it is a crack in the manifold or does that mean its a broken stud, or possibly both, or on the rare occasion a gasket inbetween the y pipe
  10. my auto pathy shifts from 1-2 at about 2800 and from 2nd to 3rd at 3000 plus even under light accel, any toughts?
  11. why are u using 93 octane in the first place, i use the lowest grade, is that bad or something
  12. is that highway or town driving? cuz i mostly do all town driving and get bout 240-260 with my stock pathy.

Well i decided to do something about it so i went to the local autozone got my self a fail safe t-stat and a brand new fan clutch and new upper and lower hoses, put them in today, took her out for a ride and the temp didnt even nearly reach pass the half point with A/C on and beating the heck out of the gas pedal, and now when the fan engages it sounds like an airplane. Thank god that was a quick fix.
  14. after driving around intl fully warmed up, when u turn off the engine shouldnt the clutch fan still be engaged mine spins freely after driving around with it supposively engaged.
  15. Could it be time for a new radiator, do u still have ure orginal one?

I noticed while driving to southlake tahoe tru hwy 50 (really mountainy with steep grades for those of u that are not fimilar with what im talking about) my engine temp reached a little past 3/4 and would hold while trying to make it up those steep grades, is this normal? My second problem is that whenever im driving around town with my airconditioning on my engine temp reaches a little past 3/4 but if i turn it off it makes its way back to mid range. Any suggestions? i have no coolant leaks and just flush the radiator.
  17. really weird, my engine light came on for about 10 min and then went off, and hasnt been on for about a week, should i be concerned or not worry about it
  18. what is the easiest route to take when trying to remove the front bumper, i took off the grill but i cant seem to be able to get any of the bolts on the bumper.
  19. can the wheel bearings get real screechy if water or something gets in their or if theres just simply something wrong.
  20. Really, cranking the torsion bars didnt effect your chamber or wear pattern, ive heard that it does from a lot of people thats why u would need those aftermarket a-arms or is that just something extra AC is trying to make money off of.

  23. It turned out to be under torqued bolts on the lower control arms. Theres a post about it on the AC board. Thank god it wasnt anything major.

I did that same exact thing, but nothing makes any noise, its only when its going over 10 mph. i dont get it plus, i looked up the service records i got when i purchased the path and the center link was replaced 10,000 miles ago. The clicking noise while turning did not come when i bought it, it came after some hardcore wheeling.
  25. i checked both CV boots and they are in perfect condition, and after that i tested the 4wheel drive on a vacant lot with a pond and the 4wd works fine, whats next, could it be something stupid? clicking seems to happens only in 2wheel drive.
