It would be nice to see if they closed up the rear or if they left it open. Nissan: the original makers of the Chevy Avalanche. nunya Posted February 10, 2012 Share Posted February 10, 2012 you could buy them like that from Toyota wish Nissan had of made one which wouldn't technically be a "90s" one, 89 was the last year for the removable back 4runners (us spec at least) which was obviously a boxy 80s style. 1990 was the changeover year to a "modern" rounded design which didn't have the removable top section (though still had a 2 door option for a year or so) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
