vg33 vs vg30 water pump

I have a vg33 in my 300zx z31 and the water pump is going bad....A forum member has a new vg30 pump for sale cheap and i was wondering if it would fit on the vg33 or ifi should just get a new vg33 pump?

I don't know what is different between them but I looked up the water pump for both engines on rockauto and they list different part numbers for the 2 engines.

I think this came up once before on a transplant. IIRC there are 2 differant snot lenghts for the water pumps and one of the lower bolt holes is offset differantly where it bolts thru the oil pump. Do some search, this will be a hard one do find but I think it was discussed here before...

aww darn different snout lengths huh. I guess ill have to take mine off and compare what is on the motor with both the new ones at a parts store and see which one i have with my luck PO did it weird i would buy a vg33 and he put a vg30 one on and modded it. Thanks for the help guys

yep diff snout lengths but they will bolt on i put a vg33 pump on my vg30 but i cant remember which was longer i had an e fan so i didnt care about the snout length
